On Wednesday, May 6th Whitefish Valley students attended the city wrestling meet at the Fort William Gardens. We had 33 students from grades 4 to 8 attend the meet. All wrestlers showed great sportsmanship and wrestled hard. A fun day was had by all!
~Huge thanks go out to Mr. Smelow and Mr. Fawcett for coaching our wrestlers

Calling all motivated 26/27Grade 7 and 8 hockey players. Lakehead Public Schools is proud to announce LPS EDGE Ahead Hockey Academy. This program is for students entering Garde 7 or 8 in the 2026/27 who are passionate about hockey and want to build the skills and habits needed for success in secondary school and beyond.

EDGE Ahead combines high-quality on-ice instruction with guided online learning focused on fitness, nutrition, recovery, and goal setting. Students will develop their hockey skills while also building teamwork, leadership, discipline, and overall well-being, working toward earning a Grade 9 Healthy Active Living Education (PAF1O) credit.

As part of the program, students must complete 50 hours of online learning. This component focuses on:

- maintaining physical and mental well-being
- making positive choices related to health, fitness, and lifestyle
- understanding how personal decisions impact themselves and others

Hello Whitefish Families

We are going to try our best to push this snow away and bring sunshine and heat to our school. Please help us do that by dressing in your spring fling tomorrow - Thursday, April 9th. We are looking forward to seeing flowers, sundresses, shorts, sunglasses, hats, crocs, etc.
