2026 Fly-In Recap

26 aircraft participated this year, with our farthest arrival coming from Owen Sound in a beautiful Super Cub on amphibious floats.

We were also proud to have 9 organizations take part in our industry showcase, giving the aviation community an opportunity to learn more about the companies and groups that help keep aviation thriving in Northern Ontario.

Many pilots and spectators made the trip by road as well, coming out to see the aircraft on display, enjoy the fly-bys, and spend the day around the airport.

A huge thank you to everyone who flew in, drove in, volunteered, showcased their organization, and helped make the day such a success.

One week out from the 2nd annual Iroquois Falls Fly-In!

Float Pilots: This year there will be two dedicated pickup times from Frederick-house Lake. 10am and 11am. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier than your desired pickup time to secure your aircraft to the provided beach stakes.
Shuttles back to your aircraft will depart the airport at 1pm and 2pm.
If you require fuel there will be Jerry cans at the airport that can be filled and transported to your aircraft on the return shuttle.

Airport arrivals: most aircraft will be marshalled to park on the grass area behind the fuel tanks. Marshaller’s will do their best to put heavier aircraft or those with sensitive landing gear on the apron. If you require to park on the apron advise on the ATF.

For those driving in, parking is available by the terminal. If you have young ones please be cautious since there will be shared spaces with aircraft maneuvering on the ground.

The schedule for the day will have arrivals between 10-12. At Noon there will be an Air Demonstration by Drake Aircraft Adventures and their STOL plane, the KFA SAFARI XL.
Food and drink will be available for purchase during the event from Smokey Robinson Food truck. Cash or card acceptable. Proceeds go towards the local Iroquois Falls High school Basketball team.

Inside the terminal there is access to a washroom as well as an industry showcase table providing information on some local aviation businesses.

We look forward to seeing everyone next weekend and catching up, as well as making new friends who all share the same passion for aviation.

ONE MONTH TO GO!

The countdown is on! Join us for the Iroquois Falls Fly-In on Saturday, August 15th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at CNE4 Airport & Frederick-house Lake.

Whether you’re flying in on floats or wheels, or just coming out to enjoy a day around airplanes, we’d love to see you there!

Here’s what to look forward to:
- Flight demonstration by Drake Aircraft Adventures featuring their KFA Safari XL at 12:00 PM
- Free shuttle between the airport and float plane parking
- Smoked meat food truck on site
- Industry Showcase Table inside the terminal featuring local aviation businesses, organizations, and career opportunities in Northern Ontario aviation.

- Rain date: Sunday, August 16th

We’re also looking for a few volunteers to help with marshalling, shuttle coordination, setup, and general event support. If you can spare a couple of hours and would like to help make this year’s Fly-In a success, send me a message!

Whether you’re a pilot, an aviation enthusiast, considering a career in aviation, or just looking for a great family outing, there’s something for everyone.
