We are pleased to inform you that David Thompson Secondary will once again be participating in the annual Terry Fox Run in support of cancer research. This event provides our students with an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while fostering school spirit, perseverance, and community engagement. This is the 46th anniversary of the run, and we are very excited to be a part of this fundraising campaign once again.
Event Details:
Date: Thursday, September 24
Time: 11:30-12:30am
Families who wish to support our efforts are invited to make a donation through the Terry Fox Foundation’s official website at:
https://schools.terryfox.ca/DavidThompsonSecondaryInvermere
All proceeds go directly to the Foundation to fund vital cancer research. All donations of $20 or more are also eligible for a tax receipt. Anyone wishing to make a donation in the form of cash or cheque may do so by filling out a pledge form at the main office to ensure you receive a tax receipt. Cheques should be made out to “Terry Fox Foundation”.
We thank you in advance for your generosity and support. Together, we can honour Terry Fox’s legacy and inspire our students to recognize the impact of determination and collective action.
Terry Fox started a marathon against cancer. Together we can end it.
