You've started "forgetting" to eat fruit.

Not on purpose. You just got scared of the blood sugar spike, so the banana subconsciously disappeared from your day. Then the mango. Then most carbs, if you're honest.

Here's the truth: your blood sugar is supposed to rise after you eat. If it didn't, that would be the actual emergency.

What's really happening:
✔️ Blood sugar goes up (normal)
✔️ Insulin gets released (normal)
✔️ Your body uses the energy (exactly what it's designed to do)

But influencers strapped on CGMs, panicked over a normal result, and now you're afraid of fruit.

Unless you've been diagnosed with diabetes or insulin resistance, this is not something you need to micromanage.

Focus on the basics instead:
✅ Balanced meals
✅ Protein and fiber
✅ Strength training
✅ Consistency over time

Your body isn't broken. Restriction is what got you here — and extreme restriction always rebounds.

The basics work. Stop hacking them and start trusting them.

It’s COMPLETELY okay to have indulgences. But if you don’t want them to stall your progress, you’ve got to be intentional.

Anniversary dinner? Absolutely—choose memories over macros.
Weekly “Wine Wednesday” with the girls? Probably not the smartest thing to indulge in every week.

The whole point is to enjoy your life WHILE working toward your goals.
But let’s be honest—enjoyment doesn’t come from justifying every craving or turning every event into an excuse.

You can’t have it both ways. Choose wisely.

"I track every single day… so why the heck am I not getting results?!" (HINT: you may want to save this post!)

I hate to break it to you, but... tracking alone isn't enough.

➡️ If you're under-eating protein, your body isn't building the muscle you want.
➡️ If you're "forgetting" oils, bites, and snacks, those calories are still there.
➡️ If you're guessing instead of weighing, you're probably off by WAY more than you think.
➡️ If you're logging food but never checking your totals, you're really just winging it and hoping for the best.
➡️ And if one off day sends you into "I'll just start again Monday" — you're not failing at tracking, you're just not logging the day that would've told you the truth.

Your body doesn't respond to how "perfect" your food log looks. It responds to what you actually put in your mouth — logged or not.

Stop spinning your wheels in a "tracking phase" and start dialing it in. That's when results actually happen.

I believed "fat doesn't make you fat" and "calories don't matter if you're low-carb" for almost two decades.

I chose pepperoni sticks over apples because I genuinely thought I was making the healthier choice. I feared carbs more than I feared being stuck.

Here's what nobody told me: the type of food you eat isn't what determines whether you gain or lose. Excess calories keep you stuck — whether they come from carbs, fat, or protein. It took me years of yo-yoing before I unlearned this.

I'm not anti low-carb. Some of my clients do great on it. What I'm against is the myth that it works because it bypasses calories. It doesn't. It just changes what you're eating them in.

If you're still afraid of carbs, that fear might be the thing keeping you stuck — not your metabolism, not your age, not your hormones.

I could've sworn low carb was the answer. Then it was a supplement. Fasting. Any and all fads.

I tried everything except the thing that actually worked: understanding what my body needs.

Turns out I didn't need more effort. I needed the right information.

That's exactly what I teach inside Master Your Metabolism.

You don't need another rule. You need less noise from friends or influencers and more consistency.

Every one of these has been marketed to you as the "thing that's finally going to work." It's not. It's just another version of restriction in disguise.

The basics work. Calories, protein, fiber, movement, and consistency. That's it.
That's the whole "thing that's finally going to work" that nobody wants to sell you because it doesn't come with a 6-week transformation guarantee or a hefty price tag.

Want to learn how to do this once and for all?
Let's chat.

The amount of nonsense people spew out online is just ridiculous.

Bananas, seed oils, no food after 6pm — they don't matter.
What matters? Calories, protein, and movement. 🤯

Get the basics right first.
Be consistent with them for a long time.
And unfollow anyone who gives you arbitrary rules that make no sense. 😉

"Macro-friendly" gets slapped around like nobody's business.

The term means nothing if it's not "friendly" for YOIR macros.

I Googled "macro-friendly overnight oats" and got a recipe with 10g of protein. Fine if you're not paying attention to your numbers. Not fine if you're 45 and chasing 100g+ a day in a fat loss phase — now you're playing catch-up before lunch even starts.

This is the trap: trusting a label instead of knowing your own numbers. It's not laziness — you just don't know what you don't know. Nobody ever taught you what to check.

That's exactly what we work through inside Master Your Metabolism — no more guessing whether something online is actually right for you. You learn what YOU need. Then everything, even ice cream, can fit. 🍦
