I am devastated to write this….BCBRA finals did not go well for us. Kadie ran 3 beautiful runs on Sir and was out of the average by 3 and 2 on When. When ran an amazing 17 second run and then passed away a few hours later. I’ve never known 2 people to have the same heart horse but this horse was sooo special he had 2 besties. I bought When after my horse accident. He was a stallion for 7 years and we bought 4 others from the same ranch because horses this great don’t come by often. Because I could no longer race Kadie took him to high school rodeo, won a million buckles and prizes in barrels and poles, and ran the short go at ABRA last year. I competed in sorting, some barrels and poles, trail classes, showed him, rode him in parades, won many cowboy challenges, showed him, rode him in parades, jumped with him, did dressage, and he did many fundays and grand entries. He also had a million mountain miles. There was nothing this horse couldn’t do and he never made a mistake once in the many years we’ve had him. Kadie and I both held him as he passed away. He will be greatly missed by all, even his lesson kids. There will never be another When.
T’il we meet again my bestest boy.
