I want to start by clearly saying my intention is not to get up in anyone’s grill here. I myself thought Aloe was a good idea but truly had no idea how overwhelming beneficial it truly is.
The absolutely appalling thing is ER departments don’t stock it🤷🏻‍♂️ Trust me I’ve checked. Just how the heck do you have something right in the protocol but the hospital doesn’t stock it. Imagine for a second if I told you that although ASA is part of the ACS protocol a ER has no longer decided to stock ASA 🤬
If anyone out there knows what the trick to get Aloe Vera is PLEASE let me know. I can readily get Vodka for my patients in a hospital but not Aloe 🤬

I want to be EXPLICITLY clear - ACCIDENTS HAPPEN! The point of this video is to OWN YOUR MISTAKE!!! I truly hold no ill will toward this nurse and I simply hope at some point she stopped to reflect on the incident and learned from it if so I’m thrilled.

Patient’s guilt and shame along with Caregiver Prejudice is VERY real. As I stated in my reel I’m not looking to shame or call out anyone but rather let you see what I saw as the patient.
This experience has dramatically affected how I now look at my patients and how I’m am VERY careful to accept my patient as they present and not with underlying Prejudice!

Under normal circumstances analgesia is HIGHLY recommended!!!
