Registration is open for White Pines Academy’s Success Through Structure program for the 2026–2027 school year.

Success Through Structure is designed for adults 18+ with autism and/or other intellectual disabilities who can benefit from consistent routines, structured learning, meaningful social interaction, and opportunities to build greater independence.

Our small, supportive program focuses on developing practical skills that students can use in their everyday lives, including:

• Communication skills — verbal and/or augmentative communication
• Independent living and self-care skills
• Social skills and community safety
• Emotional regulation using the Zones of Regulation
• Reading, writing, numeracy and money skills
• Executive functioning, organization and planning
• Cooking, baking and healthy living
• Independent Activity Schedules (IAS)
• Music, arts & crafts and physical activity
• Weekly community outings and real-world learning experiences

Programming is individualized using evidence-based assessments, including the ABLLS-R and AFLS, to identify each student's current skills, develop meaningful learning goals, and track progress throughout the year.

With a 1:3–1:4 staff-to-student ratio, students receive individualized support while still being encouraged to build confidence and independence.

Our structured educational program is designed to help adults build confidence, communication, emotional regulation, functional academics, and independent living skills through individualized, evidence-based learning. Students benefit from consistent routines, personalized goals, and meaningful opportunities to develop the skills they need for greater independence.

🌿 Adult Day Program & Centre-Based Respite (Mondays–Saturdays)

More than just respite, our structured day program weaves learning into every activity. Participants enjoy recreation, community outings, social opportunities, and life skills programming while building confidence, communication, emotional regulation, and independence in a fun, supportive, and welcoming environment.

At White Pines Academy, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Through structure, encouragement, and meaningful relationships, we help adults discover their strengths, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Our beautiful new classroom is already full of learning, laughter, and growth! 🌿☀️ With two large windows that fill the room with natural light and easy access to the outdoors in beautiful Innisfil, it's the perfect environment for our students to learn and thrive.

At White Pines Academy, we call everyone students because learning never stops—whether they're attending our Academy program, our Adult Day Program, or participating in our Center-Based Respite services.

This week, our summer students have been exploring emotions and emotional regulation, building important life skills through engaging discussions, activities, and hands-on learning. Helping individuals understand their emotions and develop healthy coping strategies is an important part of fostering confidence, independence, and overall well-being.

We're so excited to continue creating a safe, supportive, and engaging space where every student can grow at their own pace.

Our Success Through Structure students celebrated the end of an incredible year with a fun-filled Year-End Prom! We spent the afternoon dancing, singing, enjoying a delicious meal, laughing together, and reflecting on all of the growth, friendships, and memories we made throughout the year.

We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished. It has been a privilege to watch their confidence, independence, and relationships flourish. Now it's time to enjoy a well-deserved summer, and we can't wait to see what the new school year will bring!

We are excited to announce that we have moved to our new location in Innisfil at New Life Baptist Church - located at 6881 Yonge Street.

Our beautiful countryside setting offers:

🍃 Plenty of green outdoor space
🏫 A dedicated classroom, with access to an additional classroom as needed
♿ A fully accessible building, including a dedicated accessible washroom
💙 A safe, welcoming, and structured environment

Our Adult Day Program & Centre-Based Respite is available Monday through Saturday, with flexible options to meet your family's needs:

✅ Part Days - 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
✅ Full Days - 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
✅ Extended Evening Care - 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm (extension of full day)

At White Pines Academy, our Adult Day Program and Centre-Based Respite is more than just supervision. Participants enjoy structured, learning-based programming that promotes life skills, social development, independence, recreation, and meaningful community experiences in a supportive environment.

Happy Father's Day from all of us at White Pines Academy!

Last Thursday, our group enjoyed a wonderful community outing to East Side Mario’s for lunch! 🍝😊

This experience was about so much more than just a meal. Our students practiced a wide range of real-life skills, including ordering their own food, budgeting, making payments, using good table manners, staying present without phones, and making thoughtful choices around healthy eating and portion sizes.

What made this outing even more special is that the location was chosen through a democratic voting process —giving everyone a voice and encouraging decision-making as a group

We’re so proud of the growth, independence, and confidence our students continue to build through these experiences. It was a fantastic day filled with learning, laughter, and great food! 😄🍕
