🍂🌲 We Started the School Year With a Bang at White Pines Academy! 🌲🍂
September and the first week of October have been busy at White Pines Academy! We’ve welcomed some new faces, made new friends, settled back into our routines, and had lots of opportunities for learning, socializing, and getting out into our community.
Over the past several weeks, our students have been working on their individual learning goals, building independence, practising social and communication skills, and, of course, having some fun along the way!
☀️ We enjoyed beautiful days outside with trips to the park and picnics together.
🏊 We went swimming at the YMCA, giving our students another opportunity to stay active, enjoy recreational activities, and spend time together in the community.
📚 We visited the Innisfil Public Library, explored the library, and continued building our community participation skills.
🐐 One of our favourite outings was a visit to Hooves & Feathers Farm, where we spent time outdoors and met some wonderful animals! Afterwards, our students each completed a personal project about their favourite animal from the farm, bringing our community experience back into the classroom.
Along the way, we’ve continued working on academics, communication, independence, social skills, and individualized learning goals while getting back into the rhythm of another great year at White Pines Academy. 🌲

We still have a couple of spaces available in our Success Through Structure (STS) Academy program, which runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
We also offer our Day Program on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, providing structured, meaningful days that include recreational activities, life skills, social opportunities, community participation, and opportunities to build greater independence.
