Last week, we celebrated our Grade 8 graduates as they marked the end of their KBS journey and looked ahead to the exciting adventures to come. 🎓

Primary Science Fair 🥼🌟
Our JK and SK students sparked our imaginations as they explored the wonders of space, sharing what they’ve learned about the sun, moon, and planets. Grade 1 students wowed us with their imaginative carnival games, all thoughtfully created using recycled materials—bringing together innovation and sustainability. Meanwhile, our Grade 2 scientists dove into the concept of buoyancy, engineering their own boats and testing them in a friendly challenge to see how many marbles they could hold before sinking!
Across all grades, students embraced the scientific process. They asked thoughtful questions, made predictions, tested their ideas, observed outcomes, and reflected on their learning with confidence.
What a fantastic celebration of learning. We couldn’t be prouder of our Primary students! 👏

Battle of the Books ✨📚
After months of reading and preparation since February, our Grade 4–6 Battle of the Books team took part in the Innisfil Public Library competition. This reading challenge brings students together to read and discuss nominated Silver Birch books before competing in a fast-paced trivia-style event.
The competition encourages teamwork, critical thinking, and a love of reading as students work together to answer questions and demonstrate their knowledge of the books.
Our students showed incredible commitment, enthusiasm, and collaboration throughout the journey. We are so proud of how they supported one another and represented KBS with pride. 📖💛

This week, our incredible KBS community showed up for our planet in the most beautiful way. In honour of Earth Week, our students grabbed their gloves and got to work — picking up litter around our school and our local community, doing their small but mighty part to keep our world clean and beautiful. 🌿🌎

Our Primary Math Fair was a celebration of learning! 🧮✨
Students proudly showcased their math skills and took the lead in teaching their special adults about the exciting, hands-on learning happening every day in our classrooms. The energy, confidence, and pure joy in the room said it all, this is what meaningful learning looks like. We’re honestly not sure who had more fun, the kids or the parents!
Throughout the event, our students demonstrated our 4C’s in action: competence, confidence, community, and character.
If you’ve ever wondered what makes our program so special, this was it in action. Curious minds, engaged learners, and a community that learns together.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible faculty who brought this event to life, from planning and set-up to supporting every moment of the experience.
