Welcome to Ilderton Bizzy Bees Daycare Center. We are situated on main street in the quiet rural town of Ilderton, Ontario, which is located just a few minutes north of London. We are located in a beautiful country home which is over 100 years old and has been newly renovated into a childcare center. The center is bright and clean with hardwood floors and lots of natural light. Our front yard has

plenty of space to explore and is surrounded by beautiful old trees which provides plenty of shade and the children love watching all of the hustle and bustle of the variety of vehicles that go by. We are licenced under the Ministry of Children and Youth services and are responsible for following set regulations and standards. We provide care for children ages 18 months to 5 years and are open year round with extended hours from 7am to 6 pm. We also offer half day care either morning or afternoon. We provide:

* Qualified Early Childhood Educators, who are members of the College of Early Childhood Educators

* Team teaching for enriched relationships and improved supervision

* A variety of rooms for enhanced play and opportunities-Block Room, Dramatic Play, Multi-Purpose Room and Puzzle Room

* Hot, homemade nutritious lunches and snacks

* Located for all bus routes

* Right in your own community-No long distance winter driving

* Multiple staff to cover when one of the educators are sick, so you are not stuck without care

* We embrace the emergent curriculum approach to early childhood education. Emergent curriculum is a way of planning curriculum based on the student’s interest and passions. We are proud to be supporting our community and families and look forward to growing and learning together.

Teaching PreK is so much fun for our staff, especially when they can watch the children grow and develop! Seeing the physical changes from toddlers to preschool is amazing but what is even better is seeing the children develop their personalities and showing that they are turning into loving, caring, thoughtful and empathetic souls!

Children love to be involved in all aspects of what happens here at Bizzy Bees. We have had some students from Fanshawe College with us since January and part of their schooling is to do some activities with the children based on their interests. Children are seen here with one of our students and our newest supply teacher, Miss Becky, decorating for St. Patrick's Day and baking.

Sensory play is a HUGE part of our day as well. Sand, slime, water are all things that children love to play with and this helps them develop their fine motor skills.

In a few photos, we see the children spray painting the snow (with coloured water so it is safe for our little ones). Our student, Miss Emily facilitated this activity with the children.

And lastly, some memories from last spring and summer! We love all the seasons, but we think the children (and the staff) enjoy the warmer and sunnier weather a little bit more 😄
