The areas that make up TLDSB have been greatly affected by the ice storm that swept across parts of Ontario this past weekend.

Due to road conditions, power outages, and internet/network outages in some areas, TLDSB has made the decision to close all schools (including the Virtual Learning Centre), education centres, and child care centres in schools tomorrow, Monday, March 31.

This decision was made for the safety of students and staff, and we are communicating with families now in an effort to give time to make alternative arrangements.

Please note, schools will not be moving to online learning.

We hope students will take this opportunity to catch up on work, play a board game, or read/listen to a book.

We appreciate your understanding during another inclement weather situation.

Upcoming spirit days this week! Don't forget that this Friday, December 20th is a board holiday and there is no school that day.

Pine Glen is open and ready for learning!

Due to poor road conditions following yesterday's freezing rain, transportation to schools is not operating in the City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton, and Muskoka today, Tuesday, December 10. Schools remain open and learning opportunities will continue for students who are able to safely attend in-person.

Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation of their student(s) to and from school on inclement weather days. Drop-off and pick-up must occur in alignment with the regular school day start and end times.
