We cannot possibly say enough about how awesome the camera building workshop was with Kustom Kitties Canada! This group drilled, glued, sanded and hammered together their own wooden cameras and then added their own flare to customize! Thank you Quinn for sharing your expertise, sense of humor, and patience with today's PSC Campers!

Big shout-out to the Bright Starts Early Learning Centre Summer Program for coming to explore a little of what we do at Play Gym! Confession - I had no idea how to create an experience that would engage 24 kiddos with a wide age range of 6-11, but I think it was a success! We all warmed up with the "hard things" as a team first (yoga), and then branched out to explore the fun things! From the Lego and Minecraft building station, 'Mario Kart' Races, a Pom Pom Shooter making station to attack the witch, nerf gun tower target practice, balance board ball races, and the Floor Is Lava obstacle course - the group was busy! Special thank you to their hardworking team of ECEs who tackled the challenges with them - it makes a world of difference when the adults have fun with the activities too!

This morning's magical group of kiddos managed to move extra fast during their first challenge, catching all the "rain balls" in the gym and throwing them right back up into the clouds so Humboldt could enjoy a rain free morning! When their original plans got....well too soggy....a last minute pivot brought them to Play Gym, so it felt only right that today's movement challenges include trying to stop the rain and being chased around an obstacle course by the mud puddle from Robert Munsch's book, 'Mud Puddle'. Yoga, puddle escapes, transforming into earthworms, storytime, painting, Lego, puzzles, games, and a picnic - thank you to the grade one class from St. Augustine school for a memorable morning of play ❤️.

Such a cool opportunity to help build your child's speech and language skills!

Pre-K and Kindergarten programs include literacy skill development such as producing accurate speech sounds, understanding rhyme, syllables, and sounds in words, and sharing stories! Let us help you keep that practice going over the summer months with fun, small-group activities!
