In 1876, First Nations and the Crown entered into Treaty 6, which was signed at Fort Carlton on August 23, Chief Kamiscowesit's (Beardy's) campsite on August 28, and Fort Pitt on September 9. The Treaty territory extends across much of present-day Alberta and Saskatchewan and into Manitoba, and includes 50 First Nations. It also includes portions of the Carton Trail College region.

150 years later, we continue to recognize the significance of this agreement, the relationships it represents, and our shared responsibility to honour the spirit and intent of Treaty.

🚑🔥 We love a good collab - especially when it involves putting our students' skills to the test!

During a recent training night with Humboldt Fire & Rescue, our Primary Care Paramedic students responded to a simulated motor vehicle collision with two ambulance crews called to the scene.

Working alongside Humboldt Fire & Rescue, students had to safely extricate patients before providing treatment and preparing them for rapid transport.

It’s more than learning what to do — it’s learning how to work together when every second counts.
