If you can't manage $1,000, you can't manage $10,000.
You don't suddenly learn how to handle money by amassing more of it. This is why most people who win lottery lose it all.
Financial literacy is not a side effect of wealth. Wealth is the end result of financial literacy.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

How to save on your bank fees?
Recently, I have posted information and tricks about how you can save and potentially earn cash back using your credit card.
Today, we will focus on how you can save on your bank fees.
Several people might not know this tricks but it is legally here and it is just simple to do.
When I came here to Canada, I used Scotiabank as my chequing and savings account.
It was good because our local Scotiabank isnso helpful especially to new comers, but I have to switch over and still uses RBC as they have a better rates.
One trick that I have learned is what they called "The umbrella coverage".
What it means is that, most banks love to have business with you. So if you use them for all your needs, they will give you some kind of "discount" or incentives.
When I opened a chequing account with RBC, I have to pay monthly bank rates (which most banks do)
Back then, my monthly fee was $15.95/month, which is not bad especially my account is an all-inclusive bank accounts.
- no fees for interac e-transfers
- no fees for ABM transactions
- no fees for cheque booklet
So it was pretty great.
Then I learned that if you get a mortgage/or a car loan, a savings account, and an investment account (TFSA/RRSP) with the dame bank, they will give you a rebate...mine was $6/month lowering my monthly fees to $9.95/month.
It's not much but a money save is a money working for you, no matter how small it is.
But here is what I have found out, there are actually banks that don't charge you any fees...at all!
You read it right! NO FEES!! $0!! Nuh duh!!
Some disclaimer though, these banks are not a bank and mortar kind of bank, so if you are the person that goes to the teller for your everuday transactions, then this won't work for you.
However, if you are just like me, where almost all of the transactions are made online and goes to the teller once a year, then these might be an option.
Ready?
Banks like Tangerine offers a NO FEE chequing and savings account for every Canadians!
It's easy to open an account too, as long as you have a SIN, then you can open online.
I know what you are thinking... "no way it can be true"..."there should be a catch"...
That is what I am thinking too, but I am actually using them for few months and I don't see any penny going out for bank fees.
I can still do my online transactions like e-transfers, cheques, deposits, payments, and all the usual transacations you usually make.
Just like other banks, it is also affiliated with CDIC so your money is also protected.
And they have a 2.5% promotional interest rate for your savings account for 5 months. They also have a very competitive interest after their promotion.
(Note: I don't intend to promote the bank, however, they can give you an additional $50 welcome bonus buy entering an orange key. If interested, I can provide the key)
I hope you learned anything from this post. Let me know your take aways by letting me know below.
Have a wealthy day loonie sensers!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

The difference between TRY and TRIUMPH is a little "Umph".
The problem most people face is that we focus so much on the hard path , the struggles, the work we need to do to have the goals done. 🥅
Part of my job is driving long roads and most of the time, I use a map 🌏 app to go to my destination. 🛣
Sometimes, it will lead me to a rough road ⛔. But when driving, do you actually look at the gravel under your vehicle or do you look ahead to your destination? 👀
Would you agree most od the time, you just ignore the rough road and focus on what's ahead? Because if you focus on what's ahead then you'll reach your destination faster. ⏩
So don't focus on the UMPH be excited to TRY.

Generosity and Envy
One day, a landowner went out to the marketplace early in the morning and saw people standing idle. .
He asked them, "you go to my vineyard and I will give you a daily wage"
He again went out to the markerllace before lunch, at noon, before sundown and during sundown. He asked those people standing idle to work in his vanyard for a fair wage.
After the day ends, he called tha manager and told him to pay them their day work stating to those who came late to the people that came early.
Tha manager start giving the late comers their day wage up to the people that came before noon, when it was time for the people that came early to get their wage, they were expecting to get more than what the late comers get.
To their suprise, it was the same amount.
So they asked, "why is that we have the same amount as the those who came late?"
The land owner answered, "didn't we agree about the amount that I'm going to pay you for your labor? Why are you being envious that I am being generous?"
The notion of EQUALITY, UNGRATEFULNESS, and ENTITLEMENT.
Every opportunity is provided to us equally. Whatever your circumstances right now, there's no rules that say you can't stay wher you are for the rest of your life because all the resources are given to us equally...whatever successful people achieved, you can too.
But why do we feel otherwise?
Maybe because we are looking in another direction, instead of being thankful of given the chance to become a laborer and succeed, we tend to look to some other people's plate and compare.
Does, we create discouragements and entitlement.
We all have given a chance and the resources to succeed, instead of being envious about the things they have achived, work on your own talents and skills to become one of them.
Don't think so entitled that even though you're smarter, taller, richer, and more good looking than the other person, you should be the only one to succeed.
Again, this is an equal field. Focus on your goals and use your resources to achieve those goals.

Matthew 18:21-35
There was a juvenile offender that a part of a gang and murder an inoccent teenager to prove to the gang that he is worthy
At the court house, when the judge gave the verdict, the mother of the victim sit there quietly listening to th verdict...
The lady came in front of the murderer and told him
"I am going to kill you"
The day after he was imprisoned, the lasy came to visit him with gifts and food...
She came every week, then twice a week, then daily...talking to the child and visiting...
After he was released, she asked him to stay with him for a while...gave him clothes, food, shelter, job...
One evening, the lady asked the child to go downstairs to have a talk...she asked:
"Do you remember what I've told you at the court?"
"Yes. You said you are going to kill me. I was so scared
" the boy replied.
"Yes, that's what I have said. Now that my son is gone, and the murderer is dead. I have a spare room in my house...do you want to live with me and adopt you?"
There are some mistakes that we have done.
Mistakes that we made because of youth...because of curiosity....because of foolishness...
Most of these mistakes hinders us to move forward.
We should forgive ourselves so we can be unstuck. We must admit that it is a part of the process and we should learn from it.
We hurt ourselves and maybe somebody else with this mistakes but we should forgive.
But how you ask?
Simple, GRATITUDE.
Be grateful that you have given the chance to right the wrongs....to straight the curve....to be righteous...
Be thankful for every little blessings that you were given...
Then little by little, you will realize that you have have forgiven.

Matthew 15 : 21-28
Again, we are being reminded of what PERSEVERANCE and RESILIENCE can take us.
The Canaanite woman ask Jesus to heal her daughter. But she was refused....shut down multiple times.
First, Jesus told her that his "mission is for the lost sheep of Israel", which she was not. But she didn't back down.
The second time was from the apostles saying to Jesus to send her away. She still insist and made an interesting action, she kneeled down.
Even so, Jesus reminded her about his true mission, He was sent for the Istraelites. Even being on her knees, eating her pride....being the lowest she can be. She was still denied.
Do you think she gave up after that?
-this is a message to us.... We always ask for blessing and grace. To be succeful in life. To be on the peak of our health. To be financially free!
Every Sunday we go to church.
We might even pray every night.
Praying the same prayer everytime.
Doing the hard work day and night but still get's rejected.
Then you feel like it is just a wasted time and nothing's going right.
Question is, "Are you going to give up?"
Perseverance... she continued with her actions even she's facing difficulties and even there's no signs of success.
Going back to the story...
Jesus said to the woman, "it is not fair to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
She answered, "yet even dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table". And then her prayers and wishes got answered and the daughter was healed.
The message? Perseverance will result to Resiliency- your capacity to recover quickly from difficulty.
If you are clear about what you want...your mission...your desire...your goals...
Whatever it is...
Fitness...
Financial independence...
Success...
If you know what you want and why you want it. Then you need to continue to your journey however hard it will be....
Because through your resilience and your hard faith...everything will be answered...
..in God's perfect time...
