This will be an opportunity to connect, for Admin to share information about this upcoming school year, and for parents to ask any questions they may have. The start of the new school year is fast approaching! Please see yesterday’s email from Ms. Grant which offers some information about our return to school. We’ve made some highlights below. We are excited to meet our Grade 9 students on Monday 31st- more information to follow. We hope all of our students and their families are well rested and excited to work together with our Westwood team for a productive and successful school year.

Student schedules will be emailed home on August 28, and teachers will provide school supply information when students meet them in their classes during the first days of school.

Please keep this school calendar handy throughout the year, particularly to stay informed about upcoming PED Days and other important events. If you need to purchase our school uniform you can find all information on our school website (https://westwoodsr.lbpsb.qc.ca)

Congratulations Dr. Cindy Finn

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Cindy Finn, Director General of the Lester B. Pearson School Board, on being named the recipient of the Nelson Excellence in Leadership Award! 🏆💫
This prestigious national honour recognizes exceptional school system leaders whose vision, innovation, and dedication are helping shape the future of education across Canada.
Throughout her remarkable career, Dr. Finn has been a passionate advocate for student well-being, mental health, equity, diversity, dignity and inclusion, and truly inclusive education. From her early days as a school psychologist to her role today as Director General, she has led with compassion, integrity, and an unwavering belief that every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Her impact extends far beyond our school board, influencing educational leadership across Quebec, Canada, and internationally. Here at the Lester B. Pearson School Board, we are especially grateful for her inspiring leadership, her commitment to our students and staff, and the positive difference she makes every day.
We couldn't be prouder to celebrate this incredible achievement!

Our 2026 Prom was fabulous! Many thanks to Ms. Brittain and Ms. Carson who along with the Prom Committee, planned a beautiful evening for our Grads.
Congrats to our graduating class and we wish you all the very best as you move on to the next chapter. 🎉🐾
