Through the Years Early Learning Centre

Huge thanks to the Patchwork Pals of Hubbards and area for their donation of homemade quilts for the children to use at nap time. So beautiful and deeply appreciated.

This is a pyramid of what children need to thrive and learn and grow successfully, in order. When the child has the base, they will be more successful through the upper tiers. Our Through the Years’ educators live this pyramid everyday with the children, most days starting at the base and soaring up to the top each day.

We’re still accepting applications until Monday, August 10th. Come join the team!

Last few days to get your duck in the race, Derby is on Saturday.

Annual Rubber Duck Derby Fundraiser. Proceeds to ongoing costs of the high quality early learning programs at Through the Years Day Care & Community Centre. Race takes place August 8th at Mill Cove Beach on the Mill Cove Shore Road. Ducks will be launched down the brook at 2:00p.m. First, second and third duck across the finish line wins big cash prizes. $5 a duck or 5 ducks for $20. Get your ducks from any day care family or staff member, drop in the day care or e-transfer throughtheyears-coordinator@hotmail. Thank you for your support.

Reminder to our wonderful families….

We remind our families to get selling those ducks. With only a couple hundred sold to date we have a long way to go to reach last years total of nearly 1800 duckies. Community members wishing to support this fundraiser, feel free to drop in to the centre weekdays or hit up one of our staff or families to buy. Thanks!

One of the educators is looking for scallop shells for a painting activity with the children, if you have any laying around you are willing to part with.

Through the Years Early Learning Centre is expanding our Adventure Club at Aspotogan Consolidated Elementary School, and we're looking for 6 enthusiastic Program Leaders to join our team this September!

📍 Location: Aspotogan Consolidated Elementary School
📅 Contract: September 2026 – June 2027
⏰ Hours: Approximately 20 hours/week (school days)
💲 Wage: $20.00–$24.00/hour (based on experience)
📆 Application Deadline: August 10, 2026

We're looking for energetic, reliable individuals who enjoy working with children and are passionate about outdoor play, physical activity, and creating inclusive, engaging experiences. ECE or Recreation education is an asset, but experience working with children is what matters most.
