Ermineskin Head Start

Ermineskin Head Start Building strong foundations through Nehiyawewin, culture, and learning.

Ermineskin Head Start is an early learning program within Maskwacîs Education Schools Commission (MESC). We provide a safe, nurturing, and play-based environment that supports children’s holistic growth — spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Our program is grounded in Cree language and culture and guided by MESC’s core values of Îyinîw Mâmitonehicikan, Nehiyaw Pimâtisiwin, Nehiyawewin, and Wâhkôhtowin.

🎃Ermineskin Headstart Parent Night: On October 28th, Ermineskin Headstart welcomed parents and their children for a fun-filled night of pumpkin carving, laughter, and good food.

A big “AY HAY” to Nanâtohk Mîciwin for generously donating the pumpkins that made this special evening possible.

Be sure to check your awâsisak newsletter or calendar of events for upcoming Halloween activities happening this week. Miywasin!

At Ermineskin Head Start, we believe that learning begins with love, laughter, and culture. Our program supports early childhood development through six key areas:
💫 Parental Involvement
💬 Language & Culture
🍎 Health
❤️ Social Supports
📚 Education
🥕 Nutrition

Together, we create a strong foundation for our awâsisak by preparing them for Kindergarten and for life.
