We were pretty excited to find these along our travels! IYKYK 🤣

We have finally landed and are on the bus home! Thank you everyone who supported and helped fundraise to make this trip possible. We are forever grateful for this once in a life time opportunity.

We’re coming home!!!

Hola! Day 8 we visited Sarchí, home of Costa Rica’s famous painted oxcarts and the largest oxcart in the world. We explored a traditional oxcart factory, learned about this cultural tradition, and how they are made. All woodworking machinery—including lathes, drills, and saws—is entirely powered by a massive 1920s hydraulic waterwheel fed by the nearby Trojas River, utilizing zero commercial electricity. It was really incredible to see. As our adventures came to an end we all got dressed in our best and traveled into the hill of San Jose for the “Last Supper” and we were all blown away by the view. The dinner was amazingly good and we had a chance to enjoy the cultural music and dance with front tow seats. Even some of the students partaked in the festivities 😊. What an amazing way to end our trip.

Hola! Day 7 we visited Manuel Antonio National Park for the long awaited beach day to swim in the ocean 🌊. It did not disappoint. We all left sunkissed with sand in our hair 🤣. Those waves are no joke and students learned pretty quickly how strong and salty they are. We saw the cutest sloth taking a nap, two squirrel monkeys ready to steal anything they could eat and heard the howler monkeys while we walked the path (super spooky 🤣). We tried lychee the in season fruit then it was back to the hotel for more pool time and games and a walk down the beach at sunset. Truly a magical day.

Hola! Day 6 we traveled from Monteverde to Puntarenas. Along the way we stopped to plant a native tree at an animal sanctuary, helping restore wildlife habitat and support the protection of local ecosystems. Our second stop was a Jungle crocodile safari on the Tárcoles river. We enjoyed a scenic boat ride on the Tárcoles River, home to giant crocodiles (one name Mike Tyson), colorful iguanas, and a wide variety of tropical birds in their natural habitat. 🐊🦜. We even seen some monkeys high in the trees. Then at last we arrived at the coolest hotel yet! The students couldn’t get in the pool fast enough to play Marco Polo.
