What a delicious Christmas dinner with the students, staff and volunteers of JWA!! Thank you so much to all those that helped out, it is always a wonderful time. 🎄🥰

The primary/elementary also spent the afternoon doing reindeer races what fun!! 🦌

Our school is applying for the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation Literacy Fund Grant, and we are inviting students, parents, caregivers, and community members to help us share our story.

As part of the application, Indigo values youth voice and community perspective. They ask schools to submit a creative community project that highlights:
✨ our need for additional literacy funding
✨ our culture of reading and learning
✨ our vision for how new books could create meaningful, long-lasting change for our students

Due to moving our Christmas dinner some of our volunteers are no longer able to make it. If any community members are available tomorrow and would be willing to help us prepare and serve Christmas dinner to the kids please reach out it would be greatly appreciated! 🎄🥰

Dec 15th 2025 - JWA will re open for the afternoon session, the bus will begin its run in Seal Cove at 12:30 and classes will resume at 1.

Dec 15th 2025 - JWA will be closed for the morning session. There will be an update at 10:30. CDLI students and 4-6 french students are encouraged to attend classes from home.

Due to impending weather and having to prepared the turkeys in advance, our Christmas dinner will not be going ahead tomorrow as scheduled it will instead be postponed to Tuesday.

Jusy a reminder that today is a PL day for teachers, there are no classes for students today. CDLI students and grade 8 French students are encouraged to attend classes from home.
