We are excited to share our new evolved online certification program.

After running this program for the last two years we have evolved this program to include and be accessible for anyone that is wanting to begin their journey as an equine facilitator or is wanting to enhance and add to their current training.

Our online certification program can be taken as a standalone program or as part of our two year full certification program that includes four retreats.

What we cover in this program:

Learning the Language of Horses: Understanding horses as both prey and intuitive beings, how to interpret, read and understand how horses communicate in the fullness of who they are.

Creating Safety: How do we create a safe environment for both horse and human in how we create an experience alongside horses as our partners.

Self Leadership: Cultivating an awareness and practice of our own self management in how we hold space for ourselves.

Facilitation and Leadership Skills: Developing our skillset and mastery in how we facilitate alongside our horses.

Activities and Exercises: How do we set up an experience in a way that honours the horse and also speaks to how we wish to walk this work out into the world. Exercises that are horse lead, intuitive and speak to who we are wanting to serve.

Teachings and Horse Wisdom: how do we interpret and being the teachings of the collective of horses into our language and how we speak to and share about this work. What are the core themes we learn from horses and how does that translate in supporting those we serve.

Business Mentorship: this course will also include support on how we build an equine practice to support our vision of this work.

There is a question we get asked, when people come across our teaching and want to step onto the path of what we hold with the horses.

Do I need to have a horse or a horse partner?

Do I have to have a facility?

The answer is no you don't, the horses have a way of bringing us to what we need and there is a trust that in answering that call to walk with them, we will be met in that place.

Our own journey began in 2005 when we first discovered what this way of being with horses was after reading the Tao of Equus.

We didn't have a horse of our own, we didn't have a facility, we did not grow up with horses, but we knew this path was meant for us.

Three years of training in the field of equine experiential learning, is when we met our first horse Indra.

We do not arrive with all the pieces in place and following the path is often an invitation to trust that the pieces will find their way to us in time.

It is very common, for those that find us, to start the path with us and meet their horse partners along the way, perhaps find land and a facility, or partnership with a facility, and the journey begins.

To feel a calling towards a path doesn't mean we know or we have all we need, but we can trust that it will appear when we start to take our first steps.

Last weekend we held a teaching retreat with a group of women, finding the courage to find their way and their how in walking alongside horses.

We gave room for the women to practice, holding their sessions, a place where they could have safety to find their way and their foothold in how they hold and facilitate this work.

Something we often speak.

Mastery is found through experience, in our willingness to be a beginner, to fail, to not perhaps be completely confident.

We find our growth in places we are willing to walk that challenge us, that we feel uncertain in.

Our expertise roots itself in our capacity to start where we are and grow from there, and include all parts of growth.

Horses are deeply forgiving, they don't focus on our faults, they give us room to find our way, and our footing knowing this is how we grow and find our strengths.

We don't have to be afraid from starting from where we are, or having to be an "expert" right off the bat, we can trust the process of forming and know there is value and wisdom in those places too.

Experience will build your confidence and your muscles, the way forward is found in the willingness to move from that place.

And trust that your way will be built there, don't be afraid to be where you are, to find your stability through the process of practice.

The horses will always carry us through where we are proving insight in each part of the way.

I have a gelding named Aries who came into our teaching herd in 2017.

When Aries came to us, we were leading our first ever co-hort of horse medicine leadership, and he walked into the work as if he was meant for it.

Over the years I have had my moments where the intensity and responsibility of teaching has felt like a lot to hold, and in those moments of doubt, Aries has always stepped over to remind that the purpose of this space has a ripple effect to many, and teaching is not about my own experience, but following where the horses are leading, it is about taking my place and our place in healing that collective between horses and humans.

It is easy for us sometimes to forget, that where we are called to be on our paths, that it is not just about us, but a greater collective. And if we can find that capacity to move beyond our own experience to remember and to know that, the courage to continue to follow that path emerges.

One of the first things we do when a horse is surrendered to us, or we have adopted them, is we ask them, and also observe them with this inquiry, of who are you and what is your medicine.

We believe it is a powerful and impactful gift to witness our horses in this way, to say I see you and to recognize them as a being with medicine and teachings, that has a spirit to be held, and to give them that acknowledgement.

We have watched time and time again when a horse is given their name, and witnessed in the beauty of who they are, what that does to their spirit and physical manifestation of their being.

There becomes a permission for them to be their true self, not the one that has been dissociated or used in their past life.

They are not held in their trauma or history, they are seen in their strength and in their power.

They come into themselves, they shine, their full authentic self can be held and witnessed and seen.

It changes them.

To be witnessed in our gifts and in our authentic being is one of the most powerful gifts we can give, not just to our horses but to ourselves and to others.

When someone comes and experiences a horse in their medicine and in their witnessing it also allows them to do the same.

They are shown that we are more than our history and out stories, that our spirit shines through our being, that we too can be seen in who we be.

We all have medicine we carry, horses too, we are all worthy of being witnessed in this and to be held in that space.

There are layers in which we can say why a horse, that we can speak to the power of being in the space of them.

One of them that is common from what we have witnessed is in this, to be held by a horse when we are in need of tending.

In our human world there isn't always a place that we feel safe to be held, where we are not guarded and where we can really allow ourselves to be supported.

But with a horse, we can receive this support, without worry of agenda, and bias, of judgment or brushing up against the wounds of another human.

To feel held, to be seen, to be supported through our burdens and just have a place where we can let them go.

We walk around carrying so much, not realizing the impact it has on our system, and our capacity, and not knowing that this is the medicine we need.

This is something we often hear by those that come here that this was something they found deeply powerful, just this piece of being tended to.

Horses know and witness, they hold and they tend, without words and in a place that is emotionally safe for us to receive.

The Purpose Path: A Retreat.

We are excited to share a new retreat, that blends the anchoring of our purpose with horses and the knowing of our calling with them while also being supported in what the physical manifestation of that purpose is.

When we are moved to walk with horses, we feel it in our soul, and perhaps bringing that feeling into our practice can become lost in the holding of it.

Or we can get lost in knowing what our unique voice and vision in our path is and how to bring that to life in a way that practically supports our vision with horses.

This retreat is about tending to all parts of the space of our purpose with horses.

Remembering our why and also receiving from the horse collective themselves what we are called to hold alongside of them.

You are then supported in the practical of how, what does it look like to hold this path with horses in a way that practically supports. What is our language and teaching that we bring, what do we form around that.

If you are looking for a place that supports both purpose and the how, and the form and to be empowered in that. We would love to welcome you to this retreat.

All of our retreats include your accommodation, meals and full days with the herd and shuttle to the ranch if needed.

Our retreat space is located just north of Kamloops bc.

Vulnerability isn't a weakness.

Vulnerability is a strength, it is authentic in nature, it is where we witness our capacity, it is a place to be tended to with care yes, and for us to remember the power that lies there.

To be held by a horse in this tenderness, to feel their embrace as we walk through a place of vulnerability, often leads us back to the strength that is underneath that, where we know how to carry it, and we find what is in that space that leads us forward.
