Hello DJSS students, parents and guardians,
In preparation for welcoming you for the 2026–2027 school year, here is some important information:
Registration Day for all students: Friday, August 28
8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00–3:30 p.m.
First Day of Classes: Monday, August 31
Below is a suggested school supply list for Junior High. Senior High students are free to organize their course materials in the ways that work best for them.
All students will be issued Chromebooks once they have completed the 2026–2027 Registration Forms and Computer Use Agreements.

Next up is the "THRIPLE THREAT BURGER", available throughout May! ⚡️

Today is Red Dress Day to remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Mahsi Cho to the Soaring Eagle Friendship Centre for having us join you to walk and honour those we’ve lost.

Congratulations to our Jr and Sr Girls Super Soccer teams who both came away with a banner!! Huge Mahsi Cho to anyone and everyone that have donated to get these teams to Yellowknife. Special shoutout to Ptarmigan Inn, Steve Campbell at Aurora Ford Hay River, and Dawn Grant at Aurora Ford Yellowknife for your continued support of our teams!

The effective implementation and success of this Kindergarten to Grade 12 initiative is being measured in a number of ways including student assessment results and feedback from you. Your feedback is important to us!

HUGE Mahsi Cho to our friends over at the Ptarmigan Inn! The first fundraising burger, the Full Send Burger, made $1000! We are so grateful for the support of our soccer athletes 💜 Thank you to everyone in the community who purchased the burger as well. This months Alumni burger is still available, so make sure to stop by the Ptarmigan for a delicious meal!
