Our students are continuing the journey of a lifetime as they travel through France on the Trail of the Caribou. 🇫🇷

Over the past few days, they have been exploring the historic streets of Arras, visiting the moving memorials at Beaumont-Hamel, Masnières, Gueudecourt, and Monchy-le-Preux experiencing many of the places where Newfoundlanders served and sacrificed during the First World War.

We are so proud of them and are thrilled to see them learning, reflecting, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

For anyone interested in following them, this is the group that our students are currently travelling in Europe with.

Today, as part of our administration day we said goodbye to a JCA fixture. He was hired only three years after it opened as a high school. Mr Eddy has officially retired. We wish you well sir, you will be missed.

Of course, if you wish to substitute sir, I'm sure we will find the need to call you from time to time.

We also said goodbye to four teachers who are moving on for other opportunities. Mr Walsh, Mr.Kennedy, Ms Mitchell, and Ms Connolly. We wish you all well and hope you can join us for the awards ceremony in December.

Happy Summer vacation everyone!

We had a very eventful day yesterday! We started the morning with a screech-in ceremony for our two International students from Brazil who are currently on their way home. Ms Gill donned her best traditional garb and performed an excellent ceremony! Then we had our closing assembly which culminated with an opportunity to see our graduates in their caps and gowns and get a class photo with them all together.

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer break!!

Just a reminder that the assembly starts at 11 am. We are asking graduates to be sure to be here a bit before so we can get them in their caps and gowns in advance.
