Today we are celebrating someone very special in our school community — Mel, one of our amazing bus driver!
Mel went above and beyond by collecting and carefully bagging daffodil bulbs so that students could take one home. What a thoughtful way to spread a little sunshine and joy beyond our school walls!
Students, we hope you’ll plant your bulb with care and enjoy watching it grow — a small but beautiful piece of DNV to brighten your home.
Thank you, Mel, for your kindness, generosity, and for always bringing smiles along with safe rides. We appreciate you so much!

Today, we were reminded of something incredibly important — the value of play.
Our primary students spent a time learning, connecting, and growing through play, and the joy was contagious! From laughter on the playground to creativity in every corner, it was clear that play is not just fun — it’s essential for building relationships, problem-solving, and overall well-being.
A HUGE thank you to Mme Danton for organizing this wonderful opportunity. Your leadership helped create such a meaningful and memorable experience for our students and staff!
Here’s to making time for play — every day!

Last week was the regional track and field meet in Owen Sound. Dawnview was well represented with runners, jumpers and throwers all having a great day. We are proud of the ribbons but even more proud of the sportsmanship our students displayed. Thank you to M. and Mme Clark for supporting this team.

A special thank you to Kristyn and Jodie for their time, organization, and care in making this event such a success. Your efforts truly made a difference!
It was wonderful to see so many books find new homes—where they will be read, shared, and loved all over again. Seeing our students excited about reading is the best outcome we could hope for!
Thank you to everyone who contributed and participated—we appreciate you!
