Throughout Truth and Reconciliation Week, students and staff at Prairie Land Online Academy are learning about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools and colonialism, while also honouring Indigenous resilience, resistance, cultural reclamation, and the strength and brilllance of Indigenous Peoples, cultures, and communities.

Learning the truth and participating in Reconciliation are part of our ongoing responsibility. We invite everyone to honour Survivors and remember the children who never made it home, to wear orange, and to consider the meaningful actions each of us can take toward Reconciliation.

Together, we can go the distance and make a difference!
From September 14 to October 2, PLOA students, families, and staff are invited to track their walking or running distances as we follow Terry’s inspiring route across Canada.

Use the Tracker link in your D2L account to log your kilometres and watch our progress grow!

If you’d like to contribute to Terry’s dream of finding a cure for cancer, you can also donate directly to the Terry Fox Foundation through their official website link.

Let’s see how far we can go and honour Terry’s legacy — every step counts toward hope!
