Today is the day! šš
Our 2026 graduates have spent their time at Embertide ELC learning, growing, making friendships and becoming more and more themselves. Itās been a privilege to be one small part of their story.
As they head off to Kindergarten, our prayer for them is that they will always know how deeply they are loved, how wonderfully they are made, and that God goes with them wherever they go ā„ļø.
Congratulations to Embertide ELCās Graduating Class of 2026!!

People sometimes ask what infants get out of being at an Early Learning Centreā¦
The answer is: a lot more than you might think.
Right now, our youngest friends are obsessed with the book Goodnight Gorilla. They choose it over and over, point to the animals, and clearly knowing what comes next in the story. Our Room 1 educators noticed this interest and decided to build a project around it.
That interest has turned into lots of play and exploration! Children have been exploring this topic through open-ended art invitations like using contact paper and strips of paper to create ācagesā for the animals in their own way.
Theyāve also been practicing fine motor skills by using magnet tiles to build cages and then freeing the animals. Through this, theyāre learning compassion and care for others as they help the animals āescape.ā
Theyāre also building communication and literacy skills by āreadingā the story to themselves and to their friends, turning pages, naming animals, and sharing the book together.
Theyāre not ājust playing.ā
They are learning. š§”

Yesterday we welcomed this wonderful group from Embertide Daycare
They bought with them a wagon laden with non perishable food they collected before Christmas!
It fills our hearts with gratitude when youngsters show they care for others.
Well done! Thanks so muchā¤ļø
