A look through our window

11/06/2025

The most magical Halloween eve was spent in the coziest corner of our woods, where my tiny friends and I gathered around a flickering morning candle.
The air smelled of leaves, and the sun peeped shyly through drifting clouds. With silver cups and wooden spoons, we stirred our potions, mixing moon powder, dew drops, unicorn tears, and a whisper of wonder. Laughter bubbled as we sprinkled powders, mixed and chanted merry spells.
Oh, what a day of giggles and glow it was, pure magic and delight!

The Spell of Falling Leaves

" Rustle, whisper, tumble down,
Cloak the roots in Autumn's gown.
Each leaf that falls, a wish shall be,
For warmth, for love, for harmony. "

The Spell of Heart and Home

"Lantern glow and candle flame,
Warm the hearts in Autumn's name.
Through windy nights and mornings' chill,
Keep every burrow safe and still."

The Spell of Gathered Goodness

"Tuck away, tuck deep and neat,
Chestnuts, berries, roots so sweet.
Nature's cupboard full and kind,
Plenty now for all we find. "

Dear Summer,

Welcome to our storybook corner of the woods, where each tree has a tale to tell, the days grow long, and adventures bloom like daisies beneath tiny toes...
.. where little people giggle like brook water and carry baskets for flower gathering, mud soups, and their muddy boots and bare feet patter along fern dressed up paths.
We're so happy you're here!

Much love,

Your Mossy-footed wanderers ✨️

We've been enjoying life in the forest here, between little lessons in astronomy and curious unraveling of life cycles (lately we've learned about stars and planets, frogs', birds', and plants' life cycles). Currently, we are observing the life cycle of a butterfly.

The children are saving slugs and watching the birds, gathering wild flower bouquets and cooking with rain water found beneath the forest’s edge, where Lady Spring seems to have stitched emerald lace across the trees. This little heaven of ours, where the air shimmers with the scent of moss and liliac, and tiny golden sunbeams dance like sweet pixies through the branches. Their laughter echoes as they swing and chase enchanted beetles, and here we are, in muddy boots, enjoying yet another season stitched with magic and mischief, breathing in this beautiful childhood, with twinkling eyes. So blessed we are!
This is how I want to remember it!
This is how I hope they'll remember it!

What They Didn’t See: How a “Learning Disability” Shaped the Way 03/30/2025

Grateful for you! đź’•
One of our former mommies sharing her reflections and emotional experience growing up.

"So to the teachers, parents, and caregivers reading this: look beyond the behavior. Listen without assumptions. Ask questions with curiosity. You never know the difference you might make.

And to anyone who’s ever felt like they had to work twice as hard to be understood—you’re not alone. You never were."

What They Didn’t See: How a “Learning Disability” Shaped the Way In grade nine, a school psychologist looked at my test results, turned to my mother, and said something I’ll never forget:

We water-felted and sewn together the most darling snowdrop necklaces. 🫶
