UPDATE July 22 5:20 PM:

Manitoba 911 service has been successfully restored following a service interruption outside of Winnipeg earlier today. Both wireless and landline emergency call services are available again and the affected Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) in Brandon is reconnected.

A disruption is affecting 911 services in parts of Manitoba outside Winnipeg. Some residents may be unable to reach emergency services by dialing 911. Residents have been advised to check municipal websites, local emergency service websites, or local directories for the appropriate emergency contact numbers in their area.

We recommend that local 10-digit emergency numbers are shared in the most appropriate means possible. 911 should continue to be the first option, but if residents cannot get through, they should use the 10-digit numbers for police, fire, and medical emergencies.
