Something New Is Coming to Waterdown!

Saints Studio is partnering with The Possum Project. The Possum Project was founded by a homeschooling parent with deep experience in supporting neurodivergent and alternative-learner youths.

Together, Saints Studio has embarked on this partnership to form – The Hollow – A community based alternative education hub located at Saints Studio, serving youth aged 11-18, launching this September 2026.

🎵 Symphony of Science & Math | Aug 17–21 🔬

Did you know music is just as much math and science as it is the arts? This summer camp program, dives into the hidden science behind sound and rhythm. Exploring vibrations, frequency, ratios, and patterns through hands-on experiments, rhythm challenges, and creative composition.

From building instruments out of recycled materials to composing original rhythmic soundscapes, students connect science, math, engineering, and the arts. All building toward a collaborative performance where science and music come together in harmony.

FOUNDER SPOTLIGHT: Meet Sze Chen

The founder and director behind Saints Studio.

Sze Chen is a choral conductor, educator, and voice specialist with over 30 years of experience teaching piano, voice, and music education. She's guided singers from age four all the way to international recognition, with students earning choral scholarships at Eton College, St John's College, and The Pilgrims' School in the UK, plus placements in top Singapore choirs through DSA (Direct School Admissions).

Her work goes beyond performance and choral conducting too, into voice rehabilitation and public speaking, helping people find their voice through a science informed approach.

She has attended Westminster Choir College – Master's in Voice Pedagogy, trained at the Advanced Choral Conducting Institute at Eastman School of Music, and is a member of NATS and the Ontario Music Educators' Association.

As a mother of six, with her eldest at 24 years and youngest at 9 years, she believes that learning is for all ages and should not be in isolation but cross-disciplinary. And also that everyone (really) can sing! She built Saints Studio to make music and STEAM Education more accessible, empowering, and to foster the joy of lifelong learning.
