A Young Flutist's Anthology CD

For Canadian listeners and streamers of CBC radio - our own Suzanne Shulman will be featured tomorrow morning on This Is My Music! 😱

In case you don't know the show, here is the description from the web site:

Great news! A Young Flutist's Anthology is being uploaded to iTunes!

In the process, I have discovered an error that was missed when we put this all together back in 2015. It seems that on the outside cover of the CD, Amaryllis was attributed to J. Ghys... could this be Henri's brother/cousin/sister/mother? 😄 Doing my best to make sure that the iTunes metadata is 100% error-free. (All tracks have to be individually re-entered manually... once again... 😳 Stay tuned for progress reports.)

The CD will remain available on BandCamp, and we still have some hard copies with the beautiful cover art by Jonathan Royce-Gerry.

David’s own avatar Grumpy Cat (as well as one of his Audubon birds) are on their way to England with an order of thirty YFA CDs. They are traveling via Canada Post to Nicola Shorland in time for the 2018 Suzuki Summer School in Malvern.

Hopefully cat and bird will not get up to any mischief on the journey... 😉

Just a few dozen CDs are left from our initial order of 500 copies! (That is in addition to the digital sales via BandCamp.) This must be one of the highest-selling kids' flute CDs ever?! Thank you to our community of supporters for helping to make this project so successful! ❤️

A Young Flutist's Anthology has just reached $1000 in sales on Band Camp!

I have just added a reviewers' tab to this page. (I can't find it yet, but I'm sure it's there! 😂) We have received wonderful positive feedback to the CD from all over the world - please feel free to share your reviews with everyone, on this page.

Happy 70th birthday to Suzanne Shulman, the featured artist on A Young Flutist's Anthology!

A celebration was held at her house yesterday; guests from young to older enjoyed the surprise performance by the Hamilton Children's Choir's Illumini ensemble. The singers were then joined by Suzanne for Song for the Mira - audience members were also invited to sing the choruses. At the end of the afternoon, the choir members were singing in a circle that included the littlest invitees, showing how music brings all generations together. (Check out the mixed-level ensembles on the YFA CD for other examples!)
