That’s a wrap to The Colours of Music! We had a very 80’s childhood week with splashes of music, art and nature! The kids all learned what dynamics, tempo, pitch, form and beat mean in music so I told them they could skip music class in school now ☺️
A fun first day of The Colours of Music was had today! We learned about dynamics, the louds and softs in music, and started watching my favourite movie at lunch - The Sound of Music! ❤️

I couldn’t resist!!! I even used the little clef nails in a lesson ☺️
We are going to tie dye, make lots of bead crafts, watercolour and clay for the art portion of The Colours of Music! ❤️
All things Italy! We learned Giro Giro Tondo which is the Italian version of Ring Around the Rosy. We did a drum lesson and they were all fantastic at the rhythms and then they practiced their Tongue Drums!

We did the music and rhythms of Ghana today!
Day 1 of Rhythm Rocks! I love the first day because everyone is so well behaved and quiet. It’s the calm before the real fun begins. We learned about the Tongue Drum and how to play Br**ca la Tablita. Tomorrow is Ghana 🇬🇭 day and we learn Che Che Koolay!

Day 5 at Music & Nature Camp Rhythm Rocks features everything from Germany! Children will play Mein Hut which translates to 'my hat' on Tonge Drum and we will perform all of our songs to post! Hike will include a book called Mishy & Mashy go to Germany and for art (besides decorating our ugly sticks more in German colours), we will make pretzel necklaces and tissue corn flowers and feast on butter bread with German chocolate sprinkles! Come join us for the day!
