Struggling with burn-out as a neurodivergent college or university student? Check out my newest survival blog.

Everyone has overexerted themselves at one point or another. Burnt the candle at both ends. Moreover, I know I’m guilty of doing it an unhealthy amount. It’s like I go through these cycles where I’m the Energizer Bunny. And I’m go, go, go. Piling more and more things on my plate until my bat...

Welcome to The Neurodivergent Student’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
Are you a college, or university student with Attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or both?
Are you struggling to manage your symptoms while in post-secondary school?
Well, you’ve come to the right place.
To begin, I went most of my life undiagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder. Specifically, ADHD.
It was difficult to manage my symptoms growing up; I often struggled to keep up with my peers. And not knowing what made me different negatively affected my self esteem.
Moreover, I tried countless tips and tricks created for the neurotypical brain.
These strategies would eventually fail, and I would be left sad and defeated, wondering what I did wrong.
Until 2020., when I was diagnosed with ADHD through college. And began learning about neurodivergence in general.
That’s when my whole life changed. I finally found strategies that worked and that I could stick with.
And as a journalism student, I am sharing those strategies with the rest of the neurodivergent community.
Especially fellow college and university students like myself.
I’m sharing this guide so that you don’t have to struggle like I did.
