"We are delighted to support Frassati Academy." 💙

We recently heard from grandparents of a Frassati student, and their words capture exactly why this school matters:

"Our grandson attends Frassati Academy. It is a joy to see him thrive in a faith-filled Catholic school. We are so grateful to give and to see our contribution doubled with a matching donation. And when we file our income tax return we receive a refund of almost half our gift. We are delighted to support Frassati Academy."

Right now, every gift to Frassati Academy is being matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000 - and as this grandparent points out, your charitable tax receipt means your gift goes even further at tax time.

Whether you're a grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend, or neighbour of a Frassati Academy family, or you simply believe in this initiative and want to be a part of supporting it, your gift helps our children grow in faith, virtue, wisdom, and wonder.

👉 Give today and double your impact: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/frassati-academy/campaign/unlock

Our matching campaign runs through Thanksgiving, Monday, October 12.

One Year of "Saint" Frassati!

One year ago today, our patron Pier Giorgio Frassati was canonized a Saint. What a year it has been since!

Since that day, the Lord has been so good to our school:
- We opened within a couple of days of the cannonnization! Thanks be to God!
- Archbishop Dunn celebrated our opening Mass
- Our enrollment has grown
- God has provided the teachers and staff we need
- Our children have been formed in the Catholic faith while receiving an excellent education

Now, as we begin our second year, we're asking you to help this growing school continue to thrive. Every gift to our matching campaign is doubled, dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000!

Give today: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/frassati-academy/campaign/unlock

And save the date - our second year opening Mass is Friday, October 2 at 12:10 PM at St. Agnes!

Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati, pray for us! 🙏

We are thrilled to welcome Viviana Sarkis to Frassati Academy, where she will serve as our youngest Frassati Academy students!

Viviana brings more than 20 years of experience working with children and families. She has worked extensively in early childhood education, including many years teaching Kindergarten and serving as a Senior Teacher Coordinator.

She has experience developing age-appropriate curriculum, supporting children's social and emotional development, working closely with parents, mentoring teachers, and creating joyful learning environments where young children can flourish.

Viviana also founded and operated an after-school tutoring business for more than 20 years, growing it to a team of six teachers serving approximately 60 students and coordinating a much larger network of educators.

Her experience as an Early Childhood Educator Level II at Willowbrae Academy brings a wealth of experience, warmth, creativity, and leadership to our youngest students.

We are so excited to have Viviana joining the Frassati Academy team!

We are delighted to welcome Haley Bishop to the Frassati Academy faculty!

Haley recently completed her Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education at Mount Saint Vincent University, following a Bachelor of Arts from MSVU. She brings experience as both a student teacher and substitute teacher in the public school system, having taught across different grades and subject areas. She has a passion for creating engaging, supportive classrooms where students can grow in confidence and love of learning.

But what makes Haley an especially wonderful fit for Frassati Academy is the way her faith and her vocation as an educator come together. Haley is an adult convert to the Catholic Church, and her faith is at the center of her life. Over the past year, she has also served in parish ministry as a Faith Formation Coordinator, leading programs for children, youth, and young adults and working closely with families in sacramental preparation and faith formation. She's served through Children's Liturgy and programs, Young Adult Alpha, and she has a real heart for building relationships with children and families.

We are so excited to have Haley join our faculty and to see the gifts she will bring to our students.

Welcome to Frassati Academy, Haley!

French is coming to Frassati Academy!

As our school continues to grow, we are excited to keep building a rich academic program that forms the whole child - mind, heart, and soul.

We are especially grateful to welcome Madame Kerry Lynk, who has generously volunteered her time and talents to bring French instruction to Frassati Academy.

Kerry brings years of experience teaching French, including Core French for many grade levels, French Immersion, Montessori education, and early childhood language instruction. She will help our students learn French through engaging activities, conversation, and interactive techniques that build confidence and a love for language.

Most importantly, Kerry shares our passion for forming children in the faith. She is a practicing Catholic who has taught catechism, participates in her Cursillo community, and continues to grow in her relationship with Christ through Lectio Divina and prayer.

We are so blessed by the generosity of people who believe in the mission of Frassati Academy and want to help our students flourish.

Bienvenue, Madame Lynk!

Thank you to Good Shepherd Parish for having Frassati Academy share at the Masses this past Sunday. Here is the short sharing from board member Eric Myatt:
---
It's no secret that children today are growing up in a very different world than even 10 or 15 years ago. Parents today face new challenges as they try to raise children who are confident, joyful, faithful, and grounded in what is true and good.

But imagine if school could become a partner in that mission.
Imagine your child or grandchild growing not only in knowledge, but also in virtue. Growing in confidence. Growing in faith. Imagine there being no disconnect between what your children experience at home, here at church, and at school - a beautiful unity where each supports the other.

That isn't just an ideal. It's happening right in your parish.
This past September, Frassati Academy opened at the St. Agnes location of Good Shepherd Parish with 35 students. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Fr. Craig, this parish, our founding families, and many benefactors, we were able to launch something beautiful.

Our first year was a tremendous blessing. Our students learned and grew academically no doubt - but they also grew in virtue, in friendship, and in their love for Jesus. They prayed together, attended Mass together, played together, learned outdoors, wore their uniforms proudly, and were formed as little disciples at their school.

My wife and I never imagined we would send any of our own children to an independent Catholic school. But serving on the founding board, dreaming about what could be possible and taking this step of faith, has been one of the greatest blessings for our family. Watching our son grow this past year has only deepened our gratitude for what Frassati Academy offers.

If you're wondering whether this might be right for your family, I'd encourage you simply to begin the conversation. Applying isn't making a final commitment. It's the beginning of a discernment process. We'd love to meet you, answer your questions, introduce you to the school, and help you discern whether Frassati Academy is the right fit for your family.

On behalf of our families, thank you for your encouragement and your support Fr. Craig and to all of you for making this beautiful school possible. We are deeply grateful.
