About us
The Atlantic Flight Attendant Academy, established in 1996, is a registered Private Career College with the Nova Scotia Department of Advanced Education. Our students receive individual attention and instruction which results in a solid knowledge of the important safety role which the Flight Attendant plays.

Requirements :
• Applicants must have at least 2 years experience as a Flight Attendant.
• Previous Flight Attendant training experience is an asset.
• Teaching experience an asset.

Job Description :
The Flight Attendant Instructor position involves teaching student the fundamentals of Flight Attendant safety and service. We have a limited class size, to ensure that the FA instructor can provide individual attention to each student. The FA Instructor provides educational insight into the demanding Flight Attendant schedule and lifestyle. The Instructor will ensure our graduate’s resumes are formatted for airline hiring specifics and conduct practical, behavioral based interviewing tutorials to prepare our graduates to excel at the airline interview. The insight provided by the FA Instructor, as to what airlines are looking for in professional Flight Attendants, will prepare our graduates for their safety professional role. Our professional, experienced FA Instructor will build confidence for ensuring our students success.

• Flight Attendant Silent Review
• Special Attention Passengers
• In-Flight Service Procedures

• Portable Oxygen Use
• Prepared Emergency Landings
• Post-Evacuation Duties
• Emergency Evacuation Drills
• Bomb-threats and hijacking procedures
• Airport Security Procedures for passengers and crew
• Aircraft Protective Officers (APOs)
• Portable & Therapeutic Oxygen Bottles use
• Fire extinguishers use
• Restraint, Biohazard, and First Aid Kits use
• Lifejackets use
• Portable Breathing Equipment use
• Galley equipment
• Passenger Service Unit information
• Flight Attendant and Flight Deck seating

Salary: $30.00 per hour
The hours of employment are 8:30 - 3:30 Monday to Friday.
