I need to find a couple students that are serious about learning Budo. I have a wealth of knowledge that is unfortunately going to waste at the moment due to serious problems with past students. If your serious about learning some real Japanese martial arts, give me a shout and we can work it out and get serious about some Koppo-Jujutsu and other arts as well. Get at me... I'm on the lookout for good people to come learn especially now that school is starting . Doesn't matter what age or if you've never learned anything previously. I teach all ages... from the ground up!

After some much needed rest and rehabilitation, I'm happy to say training is back in effect again in a big way. Yesterday I started a new student, who is quite eager to learn and actually takes notes (can't say how relieving that is!). Two classes of introduction have been completed, with one final before my new Deshi is officially excepted into Getsumei-Ryu Sogo Budo. Of course starting with the Taijutsu, and very heavy focus on Reiho. Now also added exercise and stretching (Taiso), and strike conditioning (Keiko). Waiting for one more student to get back into practice and I can devote my time back to teaching these two great students who have emptied their cups and need it filled back up. It's shaping up to be a great winter of practice as I also move into my own training of Iaijutsu and Shurikenjutsu. Hope you all have a great fall!

Great week coming up it seems with another new face to the school coming in to learn at a very soft level..I told it'd be like soft boxing, or "Yawara-te" so no one can get injured. This gives me a great chance to start fresh with basic fundamentals which is always a good thing. Also my new guy learning about proper movement and reversals... each student at there own pace so they learn to feel comfortable with the path of practice and study through Budo and Bujutsu. Funny as it seems both students emphasize one side more than the other. Lol, interesting. Looking forward to Monday!

Some great studies tonight. Joint-locking and throwing kata, as well as some Shurikenjutsu and Iai-Kodachi kihon drawing forms of my personal practice, getting to teach some history, tradition and philosophy about the short-sword and the shuriken. Still managed to get some great keiko in. Back at it tomorrow!

Looking forward getting back to practice this week (weekend) as well as some of my own personal studies. Waiting for a translated copy of Aisu Kage Ryu, a jewel of knowledge for Japanese swordwork. After that I have some work on Chishin Ryu and Negishi Ryu Shurikenjutsu for that area of practice. My original area of Shurikenjutsu practice was the Meifu Shinkage Ryu, and now Mukaku-Ryu, so these books will be a great look at other schools ways. Hopefully by Monday appointments will get back to normal. Back to practice after the 1st week of June, so soon thankfully. I apologize for not getting back to anyone soon buy its been a longer week than most, but we'll be back to regularly scheduled keiko the Hombu and outside hopefully as well. Stay safe! Till then.. After a few days off, today were back to Aiki Heiho Taijutsu, studying the Shime-Osaekomi, Torite and Taoshi no Maki of chokes, pins, restraints, joint locking and manipulations, throws all done with the utmost caution and safety. Without such attention to how dangerous some of these forms are, we have to take care to not injure eachother. To get this far into Getsumei-Ryu practice of classical Jujutsu is amazing.. Also, now Iaijutsu and Kenjutsu kata are coming along nicely as myself and my Uchidashi continuesly fine tune our skills and find the hidden gems of the kata the further we go. Excited for this month coming as the nice weather will allow us to train outside. Just getting ready to start Jojutsu studies as well so it's great timing to teach short-staff kata. Getsumei-Ryu Jujutsu has come so far in the past few years I'm proud to see how far students have come. Gambatte!
