Born in Trois-Rivières, Quebec to immigrants from India, Ms. Bose is a Dalhousie MBA graduate whose career path demonstrates what’s possible for those who use their entrepreneurial skills to take on the world’s biggest challenges. She is a pioneer in proving how business done right can make a positive difference.

Currently chief growth officer at Clearco, the world’s largest e-commerce investor, Ms. Bose has served as managing partner for Humanitarian Ventures, a fund she cofounded to invest in high-growth technology companies and to help them serve the humanitarian sector.

We're getting ready to announce this year's Scotiabank Ethical Leadership Award recipient who will join our teams to open the competition! Here's a look back at some of our past recipients:

The Honourable Rosalie Silberman Abella was the 2017 Ethical Leadership Award recipient. The epitome of character, courage and devotion to ethical principles, Justice Abella is one of Canada's most influential experts in equality and ethics and is a strong judicial advocate for the enforcement of human rights.

Lieutenant-General Romeo Dallaire was the 2018 Ethical Leadership Award recipient. General Romeo Dallaire is a celebrated advocate for human rights. His tremendous valour in the face of mass atrocities, and his work on behalf of child soldiers and veterans, are internationally recognized.

The Honourable Lousie Arbour was the 2019 Ethical Leadership Award recipient. Mme. Arbour is a former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada with at least 40 honorary doctorates and many international prizes.

The Ethics in Action Case Competition will return in 2021 11/20/2020

We can't gather for our case competition and gala this weekend as we normally would, but our sponsor, Scotiabank, is redirecting its donation for this year to fund student scholarships and work term experiences. Ethics in Action will return in 2021. Full announcement:

2019 Scotiabank Ethics in Action Gala 12/09/2019

The annual Scotiabank Ethics in Action Gala took place at Pier 21 on November 23rd. This year’s award recipient was the Honorable Louise Arbour, CC, GOQ. Doug Reid acted as the event’s fantastic MC, and students from across Canada were able to hear Louise Arbour's speech.
