Carolyn Mackenzie Spears School of Highland Dance

Ivy was in Moncton today dancing at the first Highland Games of the season. Due to the downpours it was moved inside but that didn’t impact Ivy! She came away with two 1sts and two 2nds 🥇🥇🥈🥈

What a weekend! Ivy and Claire competed on both Saturday and Sunday and did amazing. Ivy earned medals in all 4 of her dances both days in a large group of 6 year olds and Claire danced her first ever premier competition and placed 4th runner up in the Thistle Open Championship and 4th runner up in the Maritime Open Premiership. So proud of these dancers.

On Monday, six of our adult dancers (Lauren, Emma, Maddi, Alexandria, Breagh and Callum), along with dance friend Anna, performed at Casino Nova Scotia for a function by Munden Enterprises. That same day Alexandra and Callie travelled to Belgium with the RCMP H Division Pipes, Drums and Dancers as part of a European tour where they will be performing at a number of locations through Belgium and France. Highland dance is so much more than competitions

So proud of these three! They dances beautifully in the NS Closed Provincial Championships and all came away with awards and Emma earned a spot on the provincial team and will represent NS at the Scot Dance Canada Championship Series! Congrats Emma, Callie and Lauren and all the dancers who competed today

Congratulations to Lauren and Ivy who were dancing up in Guysborough yesterday. Both danced beautifully on stage and came away with placings to boot!

Yesterday, our resident travelling dancer competed in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton at the Essence of Scotland highland competition earning medals in all 4 dances! Well done Ivy, great job!
