Shirreff Hall was absolutely buzzing as Battle of the Chefs made its return for another year 🍽️🔥 The Dal community came together for a fun-filled cook-off packed with mystery ingredients, friendly competition, and lots of laughs. 💛🖤
Melissa MacKay, AVP Campus Living and Student Well-being, alongside Nico Bernardo from Howe Dining Hall, served up a comforting plate of chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potato purée, creamy HP mushroom sauce, and a marinated date salad.
Meanwhile, Rick Ezekiel, VP Student Affairs, and Kris Nguyen from Risley Dining Hall went the seafood route with haddock fish cakes, panko-crusted mushrooms, sweet potato chips, raspberry honey glaze, and an HP aioli sauce 👏
After a close competition and lots of tasting from our judges and students, Rick and Kris took home the trophy 🏆 Their winning dish was such a hit that students will get to try it on dining hall menu next September!
