From the production team that brought you Bubonic Love (2023), Forever ‘88 (2024), and Night of the Living Doo-Wop (2025), it is with great honour that we invite you to Hydrostone Academy’s original feature film production of 2026!: SUPERVILLAINS.
SUPERVILLAINS follows Canyon, a reflective and politically aware teenager shaped by the wisdom of his late grandmother, who taught him to “sense the heat” of injustice and take action before it’s too late.
In a surreal, symbolic climax, the line between theatre and revolution blurs, asking the question of whether young people can rewrite the oppressive systems they inherit.
This profound political allegory pushes a new envelope of our artistic expression at Hydrostone Academy, addressing global issues that become more relevant every day. Starring actors from our high school drama program, and featuring many other members of our school community, both past and present, we hope this film takes you on a journey of united empowerment. You don’t want to miss this! Join us for our world premiere and be part of the movement!
DATES:
Friday June 12th, and Saturday June 13th starting at 7:00PM (doors open at 6:30)
LOCATION:
Hydrostone Academy (5450 Russell St) gymnasium on our movie screen!
TICKETS: General Admission ($10, includes popcorn); Patron Package ($50, includes popcorn and limited edition cast-signed poster)
