π£ Guest Speaker Spotlight β MBRACe Pamoja Nursing School Primer

We are honoured to welcome Josephine Muxlow (Mama Jo) as a distinguished guest speaker at this yearβs MBRACe Pamoja Nursing School Primer. A Caribbean woman of African descent from Trinidad and Tobago, Mama Jo is a retired Clinical Nurse Specialist with 51 years of dedicated service in nursing, and a lifelong advocate for Black nursing and interdisciplinary students nationally and internationally.
She currently serves on the Leadership Team of the Black Nurses Association of Nova Scotia, is a Board Member of the Pan-Canadian Association for Nurses of African Descent, an Adjunct Professor at Dalhousie University, and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, she was recently awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal. π
Join us as we learn from her wisdom, experience, and unwavering commitment to excellence in nursing and equity in healthcare.
