One of the biggest mistakes students make during exam season is waiting until they're stressed before making a plan.
In this video, I demonstrate how to work backwards from exam dates to create a realistic study schedule using a calendar and agenda book.
Remember: your study schedule shouldn't look exactly like your friend's. Everyone has different courses, activities, work schedules, and commitments.
A little planning now can save a lot of stress later.

University students will begin selecting their fall courses soon, so I wanted to share the hours Iâll have available for tutoring beginning September 1st.
If youâre hoping to work with me during the fall semester, please treat tutoring like a class when planning your timetable. These are the only daytime hours Iâll have available for university students this fall.
Every year, I hear from students and parents after schedules are finalized, only to discover that the remaining tutoring times conflict with labs, lectures, or clinical placements. Iâd hate for that disappointment to happen if tutoring support is something your student may need.
Registration for fall tutoring will open in mid-August and appointments will be first come, first serve.
All tutoring is online via Google Meet.

**âWhy You Feel Drained Even When You Didnât âDo Muchâ â The ADHD Energy Truthâ**
**Not All Effort Looks Like Work**
Some days, you look back and wonder why youâre so exhausted when you didnât do anything âbig.â But what people donât see is how much energy went into things that seem small on the surface. A simple conversation, maintaining eye contact, or just being present in a noisy environment can quietly drain you more than people realize.
**Where Your Energy Actually Goes**
You might spend hours masking how you feel, trying to respond the ârightâ way, or adjusting yourself to fit the moment. Add unexpected changes or back-to-back social interactions, and your brain doesnât get a chance to reset. Itâs not just physical effortâitâs constant mental processing happening in the background.
**Why It Feels Like Youâre Always Running Low**
ADHD and AuDHD brains donât always recharge the same way others do. So when your energy keeps getting âwithdrawnâ by everyday situations, it can feel like your battery never fully fills back up. And thatâs where frustration buildsâbecause youâre trying, but your system is already overloaded.
**What Actually Helps You Recharge**
The moments that give you energy often look quiet and simple. Spending time alone, diving deep into something you genuinely enjoy, or being around people who donât expect you to performâthose moments matter more than anything. Even predictable routines or a calm environment can feel like relief for a brain thatâs been overstimulated all day.
**Itâs Not About Doing LessâItâs About Understanding More**
The real shift happens when you stop judging your energy levels and start understanding them. Because your exhaustion isnât random. Itâs the result of everything your brain is processing that no one else can see.
And once you start recognizing what drains you and what restores you, you donât just survive your daysâyou start navigating them with a little more control.
