He advocates for the creation of sustainable urban economies and is a champion for the creation of the next generation of green jobs. He’s currently the Director of International Diplomacy at the C40 Climate Leadership Group.

Dr. Ahsan Habib is a Professor at the School of Planning and Department of Civil and Resource Engineering (cross) at Dalhousie University, Canada. He is the Director of the School of Planning, Founding Director of the Dalhousie Transportation Collaboratory (DalTRAC), and Scientific Director of the Climate Action Research Transportation (CART) Network. His research focuses on advancing integrated transport, land use and energy modeling, supported by over $11.59M of external funding in the last ten years. He is a visiting Professor at the Hasselt University, Belgium. He was an elected Senator at the Dalhousie Senate for two terms. He is currently serving as a member of the Board of Governors, Dalhousie University. Dr. Habib actively contributes to professional organizations, including serving on standing committees at TRB (AEP25, ADB20/AEP35, ADB10, ADD40) and TAC. He served as a member of the conference organizing committee for IATBR (Toronto) and WCTR (Montreal). Currently, he is a Section Editor of the journal Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment.

Leslie, an original Nova Scotia Community Transportation Network board member, stepped into the role of Provincial Coordinator in 2018. In addition to her role with the Network, Leslie is involved in a number of health and community projects on Nova Scotia’s South Shore and is a founding board member of Community Wheels, the door-to-door community transit system serving Chester and surrounding area.
