Grosvenor Wentworth’s Breakfast Program

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, we run our breakfast program here at Grosvenor Wentworth. This provincially funded initiative provides all students with a morning snack to help ensure they have the energy they need to learn and thrive throughout the school day.
The program is made possible by our wonderful volunteers, both students and parents who help prepare and distribute the food each morning. An important part of this program is giving the kids hands-on experience volunteering and contributing to their school community.
This year, we are looking for some new volunteers to join us!
Volunteering typically involves a 30-45 minute commitment before school starts. That said, the more volunteers we get, the smaller the time commitment will be! Each day is a little different but generally, volunteers divide the breakfast items into class bins and distribute them throughout the school before the bell rings. As a bonus, it’s a great opportunity for the kids to practice their math, communication and teamwork skills while helping out!
No experience necessary. One of our veteran volunteers families will be there to help guide you.
