More great news for our city and province today as Nova Scotia continues to set records for attracting immigrants.

We have welcomed 3,393 new residents so far this year - 428 more than the same period last year. That's significant, as 2018 saw 5,970 new permanent residents immigrating to Nova Scotia, the most yet in one year.

What's more, our retention rate is a strong 71%, the best in our region.

The amazing work of our staff at Nova Scotia Office of Immigration and our settlement service providers is making a difference, helping to grow our population, strengthen our economy, and fill labour gaps in our workforce. Looking forward to continuing to build on this record of success.
