💙 Happy Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day! 💙

Today we took a moment to celebrate the incredible educators who make our centre such a special place.

Families were invited to leave little notes of appreciation, and the kindness, gratitude, and heartfelt words shared throughout the day were truly meaningful. Reading these messages was a wonderful reminder of the impact that early childhood educators have on children and families every single day.

While many people see the art, the smiles, the learning, and the fun, ECEs also spend their days searching for missing mittens, wiping runny noses, negotiating with tiny but determined humans, cleaning up mysterious messes, and answering all the questions that start with “why?”

Through it all, they show up with patience, creativity, compassion, and a sense of humour.

Thank you to our dedicated team for everything you do, both the heartwarming moments and the not-so-glamorous ones. We are so grateful for the care, dedication, and joy you bring to our centre each day.

The notes shared by our families today are just a small reflection of how appreciated you truly are. 💙

Today the entire staff gathered together for a full day workshop!

⭐️ We did some major team building! (Both buildings coming together, talking, laughing and getting to know each other!)

🗣️ We went back to the basics on best practices! (headcount’s, communication, routines, mentoring new ECE’s, building relations ships with children and families and more!)

👏🏻 Teaching teams got together to talk and plan and get motivated!

We had fun and we couldn’t be more proud of the growth we saw in each and every educator and staff!

🥗Our amazing cooks made sure we had a delicious lunch! We sure are spoiled!

The Bunny class enjoyed the beautiful warm weather last week, with a special walk to the Sobeys garden centre! The children admired the flowers, helped choose plants and soil, and then worked together to plant them back at the daycare. They loved scooping and digging in the soil while learning about nature and how plants grow. What a wonderful way to enjoy the sunshine and learn through hands-on play! 🌼🪴

The Bumblebee classroom recently experienced the full life cycle of chicks through a hands-on hatching project. The children eagerly observed the eggs in the incubator, watching and waiting as the chicks began to hatch. Once they arrived, we cared for eight chicks in a brooder box, learning about their life cycle, habits, and diet.

We extended the learning through a variety of activities and by reading books about chicks and how they grow, helping to deepen the children’s understanding and curiosity. This experience sparked excitement, meaningful discussions, and hands-on exploration, making it a memorable and engaging learning opportunity for everyone.

A special thank you to Jewdi for helping make this experience possible. You can find Jewdi on TikTok .peep.show
