Noku Mukukula is headed to MSVU and the Mystics Women’s Basketball program! 🏀
Hailing from Harare, Zimbabwe, Noku graduated from San Domenico High School in California and will now begin her Psychology studies at the Mount this fall.
Noku is a versatile 5'10 forward/wing who is excited for the opportunity ahead, sharing: “Basketball has always been a huge part of who I am, so having the opportunity to start this chapter with the Mystics means a lot to me. I’m incredibly grateful and excited to join a program with such a strong culture and competitive mindset. I’m also excited to continue pursuing Psychology while growing as both a student and athlete. I can’t wait to build new relationships, compete, and give everything I have to the Mystics.”
“We didn’t find Noku; she found us, and we’re happy she did,” says Head Coach Mark Forward. "She will bring multiple skills to the Mystics next year, including her intensity on defense, rebounding, and scoring. She takes a lot of pride in her game, is extremely competitive, and wants to be pushed to be her best. We are really looking forward to working with her next season and are excited to add her to the team.”

! Bronson Currie is headed to MSVU and the Mystics Men’s Soccer program! ⚽
Bronson, a 5'11" midfielder from Halifax, NS, currently attends Halifax West High School and is set to begin his Bachelor of Science degree at the Mount this fall.
A talented competitor with Halifax County United, Bronson is ready for this next step, saying: “I’m really excited to attend MSVU and join the Mystics Men’s Soccer Program. I’m looking forward to competing at the university level, developing as a player and person, and contributing to the team’s success.”
Head Coach Guy Edwards is looking forward to welcoming Bronson to the program: “An accomplished midfielder, Bronson brings composure on the ball, strong technical quality, and the ability to influence the tempo of the game. His work rate, intelligence, and competitiveness will add real quality to our midfield group, and we are excited to see his development continue at the university level.”

Liam Collings has committed to the Mystics men’s soccer program! ⚽
Originally from Sydney, NS, Liam joins the Mystics after completing his undergraduate degree at the University of King’s College and will now pursue his Bachelor of Education at the Mount. As a two-time ACAA champion and the 2025–26 ACAA Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year, Liam will be a strong asset on the pitch this fall.
"I am excited to start this next chapter in my education and athletic career," says Liam. "I’m looking forward to competing with the group and helping the team succeed this year."
Head Coach Guy Edwards adds, "Liam joins our program with a strong track record and valuable championship experience after helping UKC capture the ACAA title last season. He is a talented goalkeeper with excellent composure and professionalism, and his addition strengthens an already competitive environment within our squad. Alyssa Spridgeon has committed to the Mystics women's soccer program! ⚽
Originally from Whitby, Ontario, Alyssa currently resides in Dartmouth, NS, and brings an incredible mix of academic and athletic experience to the team. On the academic side, Alyssa is a two-time U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian, holding a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education, and is now pursuing her Doctor of Psychology at the Mount. On the athletics side, she is a goalkeeper and currently plays for the Halifax County United AAA Senior Women's team, with previous experience at Young Harris College, StFX, and Precision FC in the United Arab Emirates Women’s League.
"I am incredibly excited and grateful to be joining the Mystics and continuing my athletic and academic career at MSVU," says Alyssa. "Over the past few years, injuries have given me a different perspective on the game and reminded me how much of a privilege it is to play the sport I love. What stands out to me most about MSVU is the dedication to fostering a positive team culture while maintaining a competitive environment. I am looking forward to contributing to a program that is community-oriented and committed to success both on and off the field!"
Head Coach Jenna Blackburn shares the enthusiasm: "We are incredibly excited that Alyssa has committed to our program as she continues her education at the Mount this fall! Alyssa joins the Mystics with both NCAA and U SPORTS experience, and her veteran presence will be a huge asset to the team. The Mystics men's soccer team is pleased to announce that Aslan Haj Mousa has to the program!
Originally from Damascus, Syria, Aslan is a member of the Halifax HotSpurs Soccer Club. Before joining the HotSpurs, he played two seasons with Suburban FC. Aslan also played three seasons with the Charles P. Allen High School boy's soccer team, collecting a gold medal at the end of the 2024-25 season and a bronze in 2025-26.
A 5'8 winger/striker, Aslan is enrolled in MSVU's Buisness Administration program.
"I’m really excited to be playing for the Mystics at MSVU," says Aslan. "It means a lot to be part of a competitive program. I take pride in being a hard-working, team-first player who’s always looking to grow and contribute in any way I can."

The Mystics Men’s Soccer program is excited to announce the commitment of Noah Baird for the upcoming season! ⚽
A native of Halifax, NS, Noah comes to the Mystics after three seasons with the reigning ACAA champion UKC Blue Devils. He also helped them to a championship win in the 2023-24 season. A 5'9 winger, Noah will begin his pursuit of a Bachelor of Education this fall.
"I'm super grateful for the opportunity to come to MSVU and play for the Mystics. I can't wait to meet the guys, get on the field, and get started," says Noah.
“We’re pleased to welcome Noah to the program," says head coach Guy Edwards. Having competed at the university level with University of King’s College, he brings experience, maturity, and quality in wide areas. A natural winger, he adds pace and attacking intent to the group, and we look forward to his impact.”
