We want to hear from you! What do you cherish most of your time spent at Halifax Independent?
Tell us in the comments 🎊🎉
We set high expectations for good-natured, ”all in” participation in new experiences, activities, and challenges - as a path to resilience, empathy, and self-discovery.

We are preparing to celebrate 50 years of learning and loving it!
We are dreaming and scheming about what sorts of events/opportunities would be the most fun and meaningful to our alumni, and how we can make them happen.
Whether you attended the Dalhousie University School, the Dalhousie Experimental School, the Dalhousie Cooperative School, or Halifax Independent School, we would love your input. Thank you in advance! https://forms.gle/ynTGZQxemuwETWS68

Our We Act group encourages you to join us on February 22, to support initiatives helping those in our community who are hurting, hungry or homeless.
Here's the link to our team page:

If you would like to donate, consider waiting until more team members join, and donate to an individual member (helping them meet their individual fundraising goals).
It’s cold out there!
The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly walk that raises money for charities serving hungry, homeless, and hurting people in our community.

This Friday, June 14, we will surprise Cate with a little celebration of her retirement. If you are in the area and want to stop by to wish her well, please do! Stop by between 6 and 7 pm, or come as early as 5:30 pm and picnic with us. The Cate-focussed part will begin just after Cate presents certificates to graduates.
