It has been a pleasure working with Vidhi Singhal on preparing her 8 years old for CCAT Emtrance exam. The process was initiated by an informal assessment to under the percentile performance and key performance indicators. Based on the report, an intervention is devised and being excuted with consistency and dedication.

Let us talk about progression in reading for early readers. For all the parents who want their child to develop strong foundation in reading should remember a few tips:
1. Do not hurry your child in blending. Reading is a process, not a commodity to be ticked in to-do list.
2. Ensure your child has very strong individual sound identification before you move ahead.
3. Progress as per your child's level, look for responses for encouragement and support them when they struggle (3 seconds wait time).
4. STEP BACK, in case your child shows signs of fatigue or frustration while you encourage and motivate. Remember, we have to make them feel comfortable with sounds and blending and not make them hate it!
5. Take an expert's help in case the outcomes are not as expected. It is better to rectify the methodology than to persist and teach incorrectly.
