a foodie dream wedding tbh
we loveddddd our 50 guest French wedding, don’t get me wrong. that was the most perfect week ever
but there’s something about an intimate extra small supper party wedding
I love weddings in all shapes and sizes ❤️

it might surprise you!
there’s nothing better!
we were preapproved for 2x what we ended up spending on our house
we found a beautiful house and went to make an offer
while writing the offer, I looked at what the mortgage payment was going to be, and I wanted to vomit
that was soooo much money to lock up into one thing
I told my husband and he agreed that was diabolical
we found a cheaper house with room for improvement and boy was that the better choice
the peace of mind: our mortgage is less than 12% of our combined take home pay. TWELVE!!!!!!!!
we pay less for the mortgage, taxes, insurance than we would on a rental
the extra $$$$ goes entirely towards good things: investing, traveling, restaurants, donations
reframing how you see things is so important
we’re so unbelievably hard on ourselves
I always find the people who questioned themselves the most are the ones that are actually usually achieving the most
you messed up? reframe: you learned a lesson you won’t fail again
you feel behind? look back at how far you’ve come

don’t get me wrong: I love to spend money
but I love to spend money on the right things: investments, quality items, whimsical thrifts
I don’t like to spend my own money though, that’s why I invest my heart out.
make your money make you money. then, it’s free!
that’s some real girl math
I love renting my house when I’m away for the summer. It’s a win for me (financially) and a win for anyone looking to stay on the beach
airbnb is so fun because you can get so incredibly creative: who can have an RV with a very cool deck set up, a yurt under the stars, a massive compound for family gatherings and weddings, you can even rent out your couch!
there are so many ways to make money, just find a cool way to differentiate yourself from the rest
there’s nothing more financially stressful than being overleveraged ‼️‼️
when you buy a house, you want some key things:
1️⃣ not overpay
2️⃣ have MULTIPLE exit strategies: be able to sell it for more than what you paid (buying undervalued assets), lease for a profit, BRRRR, etc
3️⃣ not have your entire finances revolve around this house
this seems really easy in theory, but it’s a lot harder to execute
I’m very adamant that homeownership is not for everyone because you can do sooooo much with your money when it’s not tied into a single personal residence
