The Bark Lake Weather Office in association with the Department for Watching Birds at Bark Lake is issuing the following Special Statement:

At 10:24am today we received our first bit of SNOW. While this snowfall event didn't result in any accumulation (it melted before hitting the ground) we are expecting more snow in the days to come.

A big thank you goes out to the OFO - Ontario Field Ornithologists for awarding us a Certificate of Appreciation!

It was our pleasure to be able to open the site up to birders to come and see the Varried Thrush. We hope to be able to do so again in the near future!
