Dearest Old Pals (note the term “Old”) lol,
After much back and forth, Jennifer and I have decided that due to the current situation with the nasty new kid on the bus (COVID19), we will have to reschedule our reunion planned for July 😪.
We are not cancelling it, we just need to postpone until next year (pretend we’ve all failed a grade and need a do-over - just hang out in a dugout somewhere smoking ci******es and drinking whiskey from the bottle, and before you know it the year will be over).
It’s been so cool reconnecting with those of you who have jumped on our page, made comments, sent messages and photos, we would love to keep it going - we don’t need to wait a year to reconnect (and hey, it works out great for me, another year gives me time to decide what I want to do when I grow up, and time to grow my hair back so I can once again sport that unforgettable Bon Jovi style I used to rock (yes Marcie, yours was bigger than mine, I’m not too proud to admit it 😂).
So, although we are very disappointed, we are eager to see you all next year- who knows, if we are ever allowed back in the province we may run into some of you somewhere (friggin Jennifer and her heavy foot on that monster car of hers’ carrying all that cheap Quebec Costco beer - police have banned us from crossing all borders...and then there’s the damn COVID19 restrictions on top of it 😝).
On a serious note, we hope that you are all doing well, there has been so much sadness at home. I think I can speak for both of us when I say that even though we are far away, our hearts and souls are in NS - home is the best place on earth and we can’t wait to get back.
Take care, keep posting, make your plan to attend the “31st” GMHS reunion for next year - you have no excuse not to be there, you’ve got a year to plan!!!!
Slainte,
J&J

Hello fellow GMHS’ers,
Just checking in to wish you all well, I hope you and your loved ones are doing your part to protect yourselves and the community around you by staying safe, and staying home during this terrible situation.
Let’s all post some funny memories about our time at GMHS, everybody has a t least one story (and some of us have toooooo many to share lol).
For instance, do any of you remember when John Leadbetter lit the fire in his desk in Phillip Connolly’s math class? John, always entertaining always being bad - and always getting caught!!!

Ok folks, a lot of you are sitting around at home (for the most part) so here’s a challenge to give you something to do while waiting out this terrible storm - I can’t possibly be the only one that has saved embarrassing photos from high school- so let’s see them!
Shake off the dust, beat down the cob webs, and start posting! Let’s see how many laughs we can get over the next week, there’s nothing laughter can’t help 😉

Oh those white satin pumps! We rocked them Christa, oh and the hair!

Happy Friday Everyone!
Plans are still being made, in the words of a fellow GMHS alumni, we are “giten er done”! Do you know who that - a lot?
So, IF...
1: you haven’t booked the 18th of July off from work - git er done!
2: you haven’t informed your family that you cannot attend the regular Saturday dinner - git er done!
3: you haven’t arranged for a babysitter (my 28 year old son will go to grandma’s lol)- git er done!
4: you haven’t dug out all the incriminating photos from GMHS days - git er done!
5: you haven’t rearranged your usual Saturday hair washing event - plan to git er done on Saturday!
6: you’ve forgotten how to get to Guysborough- buy a map (I’ve heard that Google and GPS are also helpful) - git er done!
7: you haven’t had your car tuned up so you can’t say it broke down on the way to the reunion (and have a siphon hose in the trunk in case you run out of gas) - git er done!
8: you haven’t even added the event to your extremely busy calendar- git er done!
9: you haven’t started to think up some lame story about why you can’t make it - git er done!
10: you haven’t allowed yourself to get excited and accept that this is going to be a real HOOT, and that this get together is not about what you are doing or not doing, what you have done or not done, where you’ve gone or not gone, who you know or don’t know. This little shindig is about getting together with a bunch of people who you probably don’t know anymore and laughing your ass off about the time when you did 🤪
JUMP ON THE BUS FOLKS, TAKE A TRIP THROUGH MEMORY LANE (the good, the bad, and the ugly are all just ridiculous childhood stories now).
Spread the word, we rocked GMHS 😎!

Ok people, if this isn’t a sign I don’t know what is!
Even our little local music festival is paying homage to our teenage years - Steve Miller, Honeymoon Suite, Glass Tiger - maybe we should move the reunion to Kemptville lol
Kemptville Live Music Festival
Kemptville Live Music Festival
Country Rock Blues Roots.

Hello all,
We have chosen the Jost waterfront building for the reunion, it is a great location, and not far from where the Big Top dance will be in the evening (it will also be nice for those of us who don't get to enjoy waterfront very often)....more details to follow as we continue to make plans.

Oops, I neglected to add that Diane (Diane Chisholm) will be joining the party on July 18th. We can’t wait to see you!
