Last week our wonderful club Guelph Hillel brought the annual Holocaust Education Week to our campus through events such as the Cattle Car exhibit, Survivor Nate Leipcigerβs testimony, and an open Shabbat dinner to wrap it all up and open the floor for discussions. We are the last generation to hear first-hand testimonies from survivors themselves, it is important now more than ever to remember the atrocious events in our human history and those who perished in the Holocaust. The Cattle Car exhibit that was displayed on campus all week was a replica freight and passenger cart that was used to deport Jews and other groups of people from ghettos to death and concentration camps.
